The Little Miss - "American Dream"

When you first listen to The Little Miss's American Dream, you might not get the true meaning of this song. The strumming of an acoustic guitar, the sound of a whistle as well as a voice sounded like Karen Carpenter, The Little Miss immersed us in her happy and carefree tune. Alongside with the film-like music video that she took with her retro filter app on her phone, she brought us back to the 70s!

The music video is causal and simple, yet honest. The Little Miss shows us her own perspective of America with footages of her hitting the road, riding on a boat, walking on the beach, going to an aquarium or going to music festivals. But her intention does not only stay in the bright side, because none of these will happen if we stay in the shadow and let the rich and politicians to decide the future of America. It is subtle, but footages of her in a political assembly appear in the music video from time to time. it is not until the end that she reveals the importance of people to participate in politics in different ways. Stay informed and stay awake!

P.S. The Little Miss is joining our #419 Hunnypot party on 24th June at The Mint. You don't want to miss this!
