Hot Tub Johnnies’ favorites for 2012.
It was another satisfying year in Music, let’s take a moment to reminisce and or catch up…
Die Antwoord Tension is my absolute favorite album this year, Die Antwoord are completely original, release mind-blowing videos with a great sense of humor and controversy, just how I like it.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis We had these guys on the Hunnypot Radio show for a live performance at the end of 2011 and they blew the roof off. So pleased this dynamic duo released such a great album. The Heist will continue to deliver Macklemore & Ryan Lewis goodness into 2013.

Treated Crew The Chicago based group is led by producer/DJ Million $ Mano, who tours with Kanye West, and features a host of my favorite rappers including Gzus Piece, Hollywood Holt, Sulaiman and Mic Terror. This is some serious Hip Hop from some MC's who have studied the game and are ready to make their mark.

Tyga LA based rapper TYGA (an acronym for Thank You God Always) is signed to Young Money Entertainment/Cash Money Records. He released some of my favorite singles this year (Rack City, Faded, Do My Dance) that all charted and are perfect party bangers.

Yuna She's a huge star in her native country Malaysia, currently lives in LA and released a fantastic debut album on Fader Label that she's been promoting and touring all year. The Indie Pop guys brought Yuna to the Hunnypot Radio show in 2010, I've been in love with her songwriting ever since.

They've been nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "We Are Young", Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Some Nights". Far East Movement The LA based group formed in 2003 and consists of Kev Nish (Kevin Nishimura), Prohgress (James Roh), J-Splif (Jae Choung), and DJ Virman (Virman Coquia). Their 2010 Free Wired album delivered some huge singles including Rocketeer and Like A G6. In 2012 FM released Dirty Bass which is a fantastic dance/pop party album which included the singles Jello, Turn up the Love and Live My Life. The album did well outside the US but I feel America missed this one. The album is deep and packed full of memorable tracks, catch a listen now!

Frank Ocean - Thinking about you
Hard Ton Hard Ton are an Italian duo with a larger than life disco sound. Fused together in 2008 from the musical loins of DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max, Sylvester-styled falsettos conjure up memories of smoky dancefloors during the heady days of Hi-NRG, which combined with a contemporary sound of accelerated beats and screaming acid basslines, shows a nod to the past can result in a slap across the face for the present. More please!
