The new album A Love Supreme drops today. "Voltron" refers not to the defender of the universe, but more like the defender of the U-N-I to the verse. The clear message in this song is "Don't fuck with U-N-I."

The project started off as a four man group in high school. In 2006, Y-O and Thurz set off as a duo.

Their first album, Fried Chicken & Watermelon, was titled so as a joke to demean typical stereotypes of "Black folks." This album included references to throwback video games, fresh sneakers, and of course U-N-I's place of origin...Inglewood, California. With A Love Supreme, U-N-I continue to generate honest hip hop music, music with a meaning, music that flows.
