Last weeks Hunnypot Radio show featured some killer new music from two well respected industry professionals and stunning performance by an upcoming singer-songwriter!  

First, Hot Tub Johnnie kicked the night off with some hot new tracks from Big K.R.I.T, The Drums, Mother Mother and of course Hunnypot favorite Lil' B!

Our first industry guest DJ was talented music supervisor Rudy Chung (Hit The Ground Runnning).  Rudy laid out some fine musical selections, including music from Tom Vek, WY LYF, Bassnectar and a sweet Ratatat remix of Jay-Z & Notorious B.I.G - all highly infectious jams!  Be sure to check out more of Rudy's musical taste on the highly popular TV shows CSI, CSI: New York and Nikita - all airing this Fall!

Next to dip their feet in the Hot Tub, was the beautiful and talented Jenni Alpert.  This pop, singer-songwriter from LA is quickly getting her name in everybody's heads, with her soothing musical melodies, and she lived up to it all, performing powerful arrangements of her songs "Sweet Talk" and "Love Is Enough".  Be sure to check out her single "Heaven" and to see her live!!

We saved the best for last as, former Hunnypot legend - DJ Stacee Coleman (Songs For Film & TV) returned for her encore and yes we needed more!!  Back for her first time since April 2010, Coleman completely lit it up, storming through a highly energized set of over 40 tunes, that completely turned the party loose!   This was a classic Coleman set and it may not be too long till' she's back for another encore - stay tuned!!

Highly talented and sought after music supervisor, Rudy Chung (Hit The Ground Running / Pusher) will be our featured industry guest DJ. His supervision credits include shows like Cold Case, CSI Miami, Dark Blue and hit shows CSI and CSI: New York. Rudy is sure to preview some of the dopest new music selections and perhaps even a few of his own artists, under his company - Pusher. Better described as eclectic, soul pop - Jenni has seen her music featured on Castle, Lipstick Jungle, CSI: Miami and many more. With shows lined up in San Francisco later this month, we have the esteemed honor of having Jenni perform for us on the show. Our final guest DJ, his none other than DJ Stacee Coleman. Back for the first time since she left the Hunnypot airwaves on April 19th 2010, Stacee is sure to bring the fire. Now VP at Songs for Film & TV - Coleman will have an extreme collection of music to choose from and we can guarantee it will be some hot musical goodness! DJ Coleman, is one of the most talented DJ's and music professionals in the business and will be a show to remember, as Hunnypot is going to be rockin' like old times!

It was a slammed pack Hunnypot Radio show last week at the Libertine! If you missed it, and couldn’t catch the live stream – no worries cause it's streaming live!

Hot Tub Johnnie kicked it off with a great Ricky Berger track leading into Hunnypot’s own Robotanists and many more new and soon to be hyped tracks!

Our first guest was none than longtime and current member of The J.B.s'Jerry Poindexter. Rolling in with classic style and some memorable James Brown stories, Jerry previewed some exclusive soon to be released J.B.’s record! Check out the forthcoming funky new party songs – “We Came To Play”, “Welcome To The Party” and “Soul Power”!

Music supervisor, Anna Granucci (Scene Tracks Music) premiered a stellar set of new music for her first time on the Hunnypot airwaves! Everyone was blown away by her opening track “Disco Biscuit Love (Dept. Remix)” by the Jezebels, a killer Justice remix of Sia’s “Clap Your Hands” and even a remix of The Doors’ classic “Strange Days” had the Hunnypot crowd in a frenzy! Anna spoke on couple of her latest projects including the film Guns, Girls, and Gambling starring Gary Oldman and Christian Slater, which will be featuring some fine selected music by Anna.

Our final guests of the night were The Orion Experience out of NYC. These guys came on and completely rocked the night, with their high energy performance – of their songs “Vampire” and “Obsessed With You”. Go and check out their song/video “NYC Girl” a perfect upbeat rock/pop smash to party to and the title track off their latest EP!! The Orion Experience, is definitely an experience not too miss and they have a handful of West Coast/LA tour dates lined up this month – including tonight at LOT 1 CAFE in Echo Park!!

DJ Boom Shack closed out the night with highly energized set of new tastemaker cuts from some of the top upcoming artists – including the killer Cris Cab cover of “Black & Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa, XV’s latest “All For Me (feat. CyHi Da Prynce, Vado & Erin Christine) and the latest from Bassnectar “The Matrix”. Boom Shack, kicked the set off with “Tears Dry On Their Own” as a tribute to the late Amy Winehouse.

A true music lover, Anna will be sure to provide a killer DJ set, giving us insight to one of the more artist-centric musical minded supervisors working today.

In town for a slew of West Coast Tour dates, the NYC rockers will be stopping by for a intimate performance and interview with Hot Tub Johnny. Hot Tub Johnnie kicked the night off with a splendid set of new music, including the latest cuts from Hunnypot’s own Gzus Piece “Expensive Shit”, Martin Solveig (feat. Dragonette) “Hello” and a classic from Mark Sultan “I’ll Be Loving You” plus many more!

Our first musical guest of the night was up and coming pop artist singer-songwriter Myah Marie! Myah her latest jams – including the popular “Boots & Bikini” and a mash up of her songs “Everything” & “Chemistry”. Keep your ears open for this hot new artist who will be releasing a new record very soon.

Next on the docket was none other than veteran industry professional Gary Miller (VP of Film & TV, Universal Music Publishing). On for his very first time as a featured guest, Gary came ready with a jammin’ uptempo set of new music from the UMPG catalogue. Our final guests were Warner Bros. recording artists, Laze & Royal. Gaining a big buzz right now with their hot new single “You & Me” (feat. Myah Marie!), Laze & Royal are on the fast track to making hit records. They featured 3 new cuts off their most recent self titled EP, including hard electro, dubstep party jam “Thrashed (Party People)”. These two future hit makers are preparing for a huge second half of 2011 and we don’t want you to miss out!

Hunnypot’s DJ Boom Shack closed down the night with a short but well received set of new music. Featuring the latest tracks from Jay Rock (feat. Kendrick Lamar) “Hood Gone Love It”, J. NiCS “Kushed up” and DJ Noya (feat. Lindsay Nourse) “React”. All three cuts are Boom Shack/Hunnypot approved!

Hunnypot artist Kemo the Blaxican, has released his latest music video, for the conscious new single "That's When She Died" off Kemo's new album Upside Of Struggle. The video was Directed by: Hugo V. with Cinematogrophy by: Bill Sloggatt, guitar by: Ross Lambert and cuts by: DJ Reverence.

Last weeks Hunnypot Radio show was a wild time. Despite the entire Libertine being under-construction for renovations, Hunnypot still marched on with the show!

Hot Tub Johnnie's set list was jam packed with goodness featuring new music from - Andy Clockwise "Everybody's In A Band", UNKLE "Money And Run (feat. Nick Cave)" and the Charles Bradley hit that is straight fire right now "The World (Is Going Up In Flames)". The Hot Tub Johnnie set also featured a surprise guest - Miss Girley, out of ATL. Girley did a quick interview and previewed a couple tracks from her forthcoming record including "Disco Drawers".

Our first guest DJ of the evening was Brandon Dorsky, founder/editor in chief of SUPERGOODMUSIC. Brandon who is known for his eye and ear for talent, played a killer set of some hit new taste-makers including an act he is currently managing - Weapons Of Audio "Night Light" and also played the Childish Gambino version of Jaimie XX's remix cut of "Rolling In The Deep". Definitely go back and listen to Brandon's set and follow along with the playlist.

Our musical guests of the evening were Tic Tic Boom!, another great breaking act brought to the HP airwaves by Brandon Dorsky. Tic Tic Boom! previewed their killer new single "Bees" from their latest EP - Reasons & Rhymes. They performed a sweet stripped down set of 3 tracks, including a smooth melodic version of  "Just Friends". Be sure to check these guys out!

DJ Boom Shack lead us into the stretch run with a short but very insightful set of music. The hand picked selections included the cuts "I Get Lifted" by George McRae, "Streets Is Hot" by breaking Miami hip hop artist J. NiCs and more.

TIC TIC BOOM

The musical guest of the night is local indie/pop rock act Tic Tic Boom!, who will be performing live for us from the Libertine. Tic Tic Boom comes from right here in Hollywood and will be on in support of their recently released EP Reasons & Rhymes, which has been described as "electro-pop-tacular" with elements of indie rock, new wave and punk. Check out their song "Bees" a fun, upbeat, electro pop summer stinger!

Hunnypot artists Clubfeet release new video for "Edge of Extremes" off their most recent album Gold On Gold. The band has teamed up with with Sydney-based videographer Alex Goddard for a collaborative art project called Gold on Gold.  "Edge of Extremes" is the first video in this series. Over the next several months, the band will be rolling out with several videos and remixes which will continue to flesh out the project.

We want to start with a Congratulations to Paul Enriquez for winning the Guitar and give Special Thanks to Schecter Guitars for donating to the give away!

Hot Tub Johnnie kicked off with his usual set of the top tastemaker music out. His set featured new music from… Eddie Vedder, Bag Raiders, The Rassle, The Kings, Hunnypot artist Gzus Piece and more! For complete the track listings, check the  playlist on the left hand column.

Our first guest was LA singer-songwriter, and former Human Drama front-man Johnny Indovina. Johnny's beautifully arranged songs, were performed brilliantly and his soothing, airy guitar blended perfectly with his honest, caring vocals. Be sure to check out his performance of "Wind Of Change" and his latest single "The Poisoning".

Next on the docket was renowned music supervisor, Lindsay Wolfington -  the gatekeeper for all things music on the hit TV show One Tree Hill and Ghost Whisperer. Lindsay played a mixed set full of her latest favorites and classic 90's jams! The key focus tracks in her set, were "Equestrian" by U.S. Royalty Mirrors, "Jeroboam" by Branches and her classic 90's selection "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears locked to One Tree Hill this upcoming season to see what gems Lindsay selects!

Our last guests were local LA indie, rock quartet The Tender Box. They may have played a stripped down set, but these guys completely rocked out and stole the night, as they performed songs off their latest release Reverence. Check out the acoustic live versions of "Rooftops" and "Signs Of Fire" and be sure to stay updated for their latest shows and happenings this summer.

The night was closed out with a short but sweet set of new music, handpicked by DJ Boom Shack. Boom Shack featured new cuts from Deep.sea.creatures, Martin Solveig and LA rockers SUDDYN and their new single "Nothing Lasts Forever".

Our first featured musical guests are LA based indie rock quartet The Tender Box. Their latest release Reverence (Swing House Music) features the high energized alt rocker "Signs of Fire" and popular "Crashing Down". Already with a publishing deal through Cobalt and various music placements with Budweiser, Sony Pictures and a theme song to Marvel's "The Spectacular Spiderman" expect to hear big things from this rising taste-maker act.

Also joining us in the Hot Tub will be Johnny Indovina, singer-songwriter and frontman for underground 80's new wave goth band Human Drama. The band was a central figure in the 80's L.A. downtown scene which revolved around the now legendary SCREAM nightclub and released the '92 landmark album The World Insidethrough Triple X Records. Indovina is now heading his latest musical project Sound Of The Blue Heart, an alternative, pop rock quintet that features thought provoking insights and infectious rhythms.
