DARKNESS COVERED THE LAND. ITS FOG SEDUCED, CRAWLED AND SUFFOCATED. DREAMS WERE DESOLATE – PLEADS TO THE STARS. THE QUEST BECAME CLEAR; THE EMPRESSES HAD TO COMBINE THEIR POWERS TO OVERCOME THE VOID. AS ONE, THEIR JOURNEY BEGAN – FOR THE ILLUMINATION OF THE UNIVERSE. THE COMBINATION OF THEIR POWERS, ARTISTRY, INNOVATION AND ELECTRONIC EXECUTION IS LEX.
All four members of Niantic are Southern California natives – a fact wildly apparent in every track of their 6-song EP Vertical. Starting with the kaleidoscopic, prime-time thrill rides of “Phillip Rivers” and “You Got Nothing You Don’t Want” through the murder-on-the-beach stormy surf of “Blades”, concluding with the relentless, desert-driving “Janus”... California is both the beautiful blood and gritty guts of the band’s Not Dead Yet Records debut. This genre-blending sound covers decades of influences in seconds before each song blooms into instant, repeatable grooves.

Johnnie transitioned into a classic by Eddie Heywood and Hugo Winterhalter (“Canadian Sunset”) leading into the Hot Tub interview with The Greys.
The three siblings who make up The Greys—Sydney, Jayden, & Silas—sat down with Hot Tub Johnnie to discuss what they have done thus far and what’s in store for the future. We then get into Hot Tub’s second DJ set. He started off with Sydney’s favorite Jhene Aiko and rounded things off with Arnaud Rebotini’s Pagan Dance Move.

She is crowed with an honorary Fez as a newly minted member of Hunnypots 5-Timers club, joining luminaries Thomas Golubic and PJ Bloom. We transition to rock music next with Ships Have Sailed, another up and coming band in LA. Mike Burns then takes over the DJ booth with some remixed Hunnypot classics. Longtime Hunnypot regular Giraffe preforms next and is followed by Spanish duo The Blue Dolphins. We close out with the Hunnypot Dance Party. See you next time! 10/05/2015

After Silentó's "Nae Nae", iHeart Memphis's "Hit The Quan" is the next dance video to go viral. This song is about to stretch out some legs! The Quan refers to the dance made popular by rapper Rich Hommie Quan.
There are a lot of #HitTheQuan videos submitted for the #HitTheQuanChallenge, a genius way for iHeart Memphis to get traction for his catchy song. We love King Imprint's version.
Andddddd….Hunnypot Live Episode 325 kicked off with a BRAND NEW opening from our very own Ryan Taalbi! Hot Tub Johnnie was leaning more rock with this DJ set and we rocked out to it the entire time. Definitely a party set. The guys kicked it off by drooling over Linda Ronstadt. Shit we would too! Hot Tub Johnnie and the boys got into the night’s lineup. Of course, there were some jokes (lame and otherwise) about Dinosaur Dick. Is Dinosaur Dick’s tag line “Non-cock fun?” There were a lot of other jokes.
We then moved into the second half of Hot Tub Johnnie’s DJ set which began with the amazing Fiona Grey and her song “What you want.” (She will be at the show November 16th!) We closed this set with the new classic Dr. Pepper and Chunky. Side note: “I dun rocked more ice than Michele Quan” is an amazing line from Dr. Pepper.
Jude Gold and his funky self then joined Hot Tube Johnnie and Pesci in the Hot Tub with a guitar. We weren’t sure what was going to happen, but it was epic. Jude Gold played a series of funky tracks during his DJ set and illustrated different aspects of each song.
The young up-and-comers Wes Mantra then took the Hunnypot stage. Lena Fayre followed with a mesmerizing performance. We can see why she’s gaining so much buzz. Well Hung Heart was up next. They had some seriously heartfelt songs in their repertoire. Dinosaur Dick took over The Mint with their act. It was nethanderthal fury personified, complete with random Dinosaur noises. All the way from Chi-town, Grindin’ Pun closed out the night with an energetic performance. Hot Tub Johnnie closed by expressing his love to the listeners. See you next time! 9/21/2015
