Canadian folk rock band Whitehorse takes on 12-bar-blues with “Nadine,” a reimagined cover of Chuck Berry’s 1964 hit of the same name. The song is off their upcoming EP, The Northern South Vol. 1, which features a collection of rock ‘n’ roll chart-toppers by the likes of Berry, Little Walter and other Chess and Checker recording artist
Whitehorse’s live show is built on mesmerizing guitar work and smoldering vocal chemistry, but also brings much more to the stage with complex layers of percussion, keyboard and telephone receiver amplification, tangled like an embrace with the help of looping pedals. Their sold out Winter Garden Theatre show in February, 2012 signaled their unquestionable arrival as a band.
