With “People,” Wargirl (Long Beach, CA) reels the listener in by shouting a call to arms with their rustic sound, loosened groove, and pleasant shrills from singers Anne and Marika. The video is composed of stuttered images putting Tacklyland Studios (owned by band founder Matt Wingall, who also directed the video) on display giving the viewer a sense of mystery, adorned with a hand-drawn waveform pulsing through the video’s entirety. It’s a beautiful display of organized chaos.
