A few months back we announced a contest to win a music video by Media Liberated filmed at legendary Los Angeles club The Mint and here are the winners! The Taco Truck is a unique alternative rock back who has adapted their own style from various influences. This results are a jazzy/tribal mix of indie rock that some are labeling Millennial Progressive. For being teenagers, these 4 band mates have accomplished a good amount performing at popular Southern California locations like the Anaheim House of Blues, releasing a full length album, and now putting out 2 official music videos. The line up includes Sid Piravi on Vocals & Guitar, Emma Hattesohl on Guitar, Cesar Landa on Drums, and Alex Soto on Bass.
In this video, the band is seen on an engaging stage at a bar but there's a lot more to the video than meets the eye. When listening to the lyrics of this thoughtful song "Ekta", Piravi chants "Do we need to go out to the bar twice a week?" as he explores the idea of the things people do to entertain themselves and connect with others. The lyricism is filled with a sense of wisdom that one wouldn't expect from a teenage band from Orange County. This song is also filled with beautiful vocal motifs that couple well with the tasteful cinematography in the video. The end is led by an uplifting plucky instrumental with scenes of concert goers going crazy and letting go. Seen throughout this musical experience, you can see Hunnypot's own Hot Tub Johnnie and Ryan Taalbi as extras!
