Joren Cull’s “A Brief History…” is an animated short of grade school children presenting the history of musical genres from where the genre started to how it has evolved. The children dress festive to the type of music they are presenting, although there are topics such as Goth, Metal, and Emo; Radiohead receives their own history as a band. The Toronto, Canada native illustrator and animator Cull, for severely years has been creating content for "Pitchfork", the online music magazine. Jorden Cull’s latest video “A Brief History of Metal” has received over 50,000 views after only being released a few days ago. Cull’s “A Brief History…” humor is at the expense of those who indulge in the particular topic that is undeniably funny even to those who are the die hurt music enthusiast. Although the show is animated and features children as the main characters the show is actuate and highly informative. The show gives even the biggest fan of a genre an education and may even suggest artist and tracks the listen may have never experienced.
