Nonetheless, this late night rager is tickled with neon nostalgia for when you're feeling your grimey and violent sexuality in a post rave world.
In a way, "Back of the Truck" is like a coming-out party for one. Throughout the broken record of "acting like a slut, looking like a bitch" she stays perfectly posed while the camera's assumedly male gaze, circles and preys upon the one-dimensional portrayal of herself. The neon pink and green lights break-dance their way against the wall and the epilepsy warning is well earned. It's a mesmerizing and dangerous dimension of color and shadow that breaks Michete free from her stagnant stance to clap-back and explain how she is not like the other girls. Fierce.
If you weren't catching Lady Gaga's Mother Monster era vibes, Mimi lays it out for us in a midditft bearing "Born this Way" tour tee as we approach the titular location.
