I have a soft spot in my heart for women on the pole, but an even softer spot for Zeus Rebel Waters. Tuning his usual rasp toward the traditional trap beat, the one word that can describe his 2020 single “Luv” love is, “classic”. The simplicity of the song’s intention and video pairing proves that you don’t need to mess around with a good thing, but messing around can help to find a good thing. Should you be so lucky to catch Zeus on his next tour, the live version of “Luv” rocks the instrumentals so hard, you almost forget it wasn’t produced that way.
