I don't know about you, but I was super excited to hear Andrew Hagar's latest single, "Leave It Alone" when it dropped this morning. To be honest, it was a breath of fresh air in a world seemingly full of copy-cat releases that leave little to the imagination with minimal staying power (when all is said and done). The first single off his forthcoming debut EP, Limited Edition Psycho, is pure fire and hits on all of the proverbial cylinders including killer musicianship, top-notch mixing, and of course Andrew's unmistakable vocals. "Leave It Alone" is different than past releases and reflects Andrew's development as a musician, but more importantly growth as an individual. I believe that is why the lyrics on "Leave It Alone" resonated with me personally, and I am sure they will do the same for you after you take it for a few spins around the block. All in all, I love this track and am super excited for Andrew Hagar and The Midnight Suns upcoming release. If it's anything close to "Leave It Alone", they'll definitely have a winner on their hands and a bright future on the horizon!

A few excerpts from todays Press Release:
Experience molds and shapes the stories we tell. Having quite literally been born into music, Andrew Hagar’s earliest memories included birthdays on the tour bus and dad carrying him out on stage to the roar of the crowd. However, it would take a while for music to become his personal focal point—he had to live first. Teaming up with Trev Lukather behind the board as producer and co-writer, Hagar is working on his debut EP Limited Edition Psycho, set to be released later this year. Nodding to influences such as Alice In Chains, Nine Inch Nails, and Stone Temple Pilots as well as classic folk, the EP is infused with eloquent lyricism and paired with grunge-inflected grooves. In advance of the highly anticipated EP, Hagar is releasing a new single, “Leave It Alone” along with bonus track, “If Ya Wanna,” both incredibly personal and addresses various mental health topics.
Obsession. Paranoia. Conspiracy. A mind unraveled. These days, most people know someone who lost themselves down the eponymous “rabbit hole.” Friends, lovers, even family members, no one is immune to the allure of forbidden knowledge. Since the early days of the pandemic, curious minded people were grasping for straws, looking for some kind of answer to the chaos they were subjected to on their screens. Many strayed too deep in their search for answers, and never really came back. “Leave It Alone” is about the dangers of misinformation, obsessing over the search for truth, and how you really can’t put the toothpaste back in the proverbial tube.
