Last weeks Hunnypot Radio show was a wild time. Despite the entire Libertine being under-construction for renovations, Hunnypot still marched on with the show!
Hot Tub Johnnie's set list was jam packed with goodness featuring new music from - Andy Clockwise "Everybody's In A Band", UNKLE "Money And Run (feat. Nick Cave)" and the Charles Bradley hit that is straight fire right now "The World (Is Going Up In Flames)". The Hot Tub Johnnie set also featured a surprise guest - Miss Girley, out of ATL. Girley did a quick interview and previewed a couple tracks from her forthcoming record including "Disco Drawers".
Our first guest DJ of the evening was Brandon Dorsky, founder/editor in chief of SUPERGOODMUSIC. Brandon who is known for his eye and ear for talent, played a killer set of some hit new taste-makers including an act he is currently managing - Weapons Of Audio "Night Light" and also played the Childish Gambino version of Jaimie XX's remix cut of "Rolling In The Deep". Definitely go back and listen to Brandon's set and follow along with the playlist.
Our musical guests of the evening were Tic Tic Boom!, another great breaking act brought to the HP airwaves by Brandon Dorsky. Tic Tic Boom! previewed their killer new single "Bees" from their latest EP - Reasons & Rhymes. They performed a sweet stripped down set of 3 tracks, including a smooth melodic version of "Just Friends". Be sure to check these guys out!
DJ Boom Shack lead us into the stretch run with a short but very insightful set of music. The hand picked selections included the cuts "I Get Lifted" by George McRae, "Streets Is Hot" by breaking Miami hip hop artist J. NiCs and more.
The 215th Hunnypot Radio, Sing-A-Long was "I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick 06/27/2011

Tic Tic Boom comes from right here in Hollywood and will be on in support of their recently released EP Reasons & Rhymes, which has been described as "electro-pop-tacular" with elements of indie rock, new wave and punk.
