For our 258th Hunnypot Radio show, we packed the house with an awesome line-up of guest DJs and musicians alike. As per usual, Hot Tub Johnnie got us movin’ and groovin’ with his set featuring new favorites from Clubfeet feat. Chela, FIDLAR, Black Chill, Ace Hood + a special interview w/ our featured guest Johnny Ringo and his new single "Got Bass" more.
Following Hot Tub Johnnie, we had our guest DJ duo for the night, Allison Litton and Lisa Bojarski. of the music blog Bearded Musicians. They dazzled us with a fantastic set of their favorite cuts from Bearded Musicians, including but not limited to: Band of Horses, Walk The Moon, Roo Panes, The Weeknd, Hands and much more. Thank you Allison and Lisa for a very entertaining set and interview!
After Andrea’s set, we were treated to a special live performance from Texas born and LA based rapper Johnny Ringo, who has a new album Scum Patrol available now! Ringo showcased his new tunes for us, including his bangin single "All Mine" and album standout "Roadrunner".
Following Johnny Ringo, was the official launch party for the 2013 Music Company. The innovative music makers that make up 2013 Music were all in attendance and brought some serious energy to the stage. I’m pretty sure that every person in the room couldn’t help but move their feet and dance with us. Hunnypot artists hUH (Have U Heard) kicked off the performances with a stellar live set featuring recently released singles "Thalia" and "Vampire Blood" off their debut self-titled LP. They also treated us to some new material which will be surfacing later this year on their forthcoming LP.
Following up hUH, were fellow 2013 Music members C.O.R. (Core Of Resistance) and Jeanine Strong who performed a brilliant set of deep hip hop/trap, house and dubstep cuts. They had the whole club grinding out some killer dance floor moves.
Closing out the night were two very special DJ's - Bartek (1/2 of Quade) and Beat Battle Champ, Kev Da Khemist. Both DJ's layed down some hard hitting beats which kept the party going well into the early morning hours!
All in all, it was another amazing show put together by the incredible Hunnypot Unlimited team. Huge thanks to everyone that came out to support, everyone that performed, and both the Central SAPC and Hunnypot crews. We couldn’t make it all happen without each and every one of you! 02/11/2013
Music tastemakers Lisa B. and Alison L. (Inaudible Productions), Co-founders of the LA based music blog Bearded Musicians will be our special industry guest DJ's of the night. The idea was created after they were inspired by a night under the stars while listening to Band of Horses (a great "bearded band"). They hold two rules…Must have beards…or like beards (and of course great music). With that said, we can all expect some rockin' tunes and good times, as the ladies will be playing their favorite Bearded Musicians!!
Hunnypot artist and Dallas born/LA based alt rapper, Johnny Ringo will be our first performer of the night. This unique multi-talented artist just inked a record deal with TX based label R&R Records who released his debut full-length LP Scum Patrol back in December 2012. The album features the soulful hip hop/pop banger "All Mine" and a stellar collab with fellow TX rapper Bun B on "Sweepin Up The Block". Ringo is also gearing up to release a forthcoming alternative rock single "Angels", which has been heralded as his best work yet. Johnny is widely known in the DFW area for his raw and passionate live performances…which we highly recommend you checking out as he will be tearing up the stage on Hunnypot.

Hunnypot artists, The Have U Heard project, aka hUH, is the collaborative work of writer/vocalist Noah Lowman, electronic producer Devin Dilmore and emcee/producer Aaron Mostow. The music of hUH is an experiment in song; part pop, part electronic, part hip hop, part bizarre. Blended to perfection with all the right musical ingredients, this Los Angeles based trio is set to take the world by storm.
DJ & Producer C.O.R. - "Code Of Resistance", is blowing heads up and bringing a fresh new energy and skill set to the Los Angeles dubstep & electronic bass music scene. His seasoned Hip Hop and turntablism background combined with his raw original productions creates a live performance that is snapping necks and melting minds.
Jeanine Strong, also known as JiJi is a singer/songwriter, performance & recording artist well known in the LA scene. She created the unique sound that is her signature style: Urban Melodic Soul. Jeanine is known for her unique voice. She pours her heart and soul into her lyrics and sings with sincerity, strength, and wisdom beyond her years.
Bartek is a member of the Cutting Edge, Mid-Tempo Dancefloor music group Quade who smoothly blends influences from breakbeat, dub, electro, hip hop, and IDM, while layering moody synths, deep organic grooves, bass weight, and sci-fi sound effects for Maximum Dancefloor Impact.
(BEAT BATTLE CHAMP) One of the hardest working producers in Los Angeles. Known for his diverse style of bone crushing bangers and smooth hip hop joints, Kev is quickly taking over the game one dope beat at a time.
Apologizes to Andrea and Lisa for the super-hot and sadly distorted recording of the interviews. :( The LIVE performances sound good.
For our 257th Hunnypot Radio show, we packed the house with an awesome line-up of guest DJs and musicians alike. As per usual, Hot Tub Johnnie got us movin’ and groovin’ with his set featuring new favorites from Piney Gir, Clubfeet, Chela, Prince Sole, Trinity Gold, Johnny Ringo and more.
Following Hot Tub Johnnie, we had our guest DJ for the night, Andrea von Foerster (Firestarter Music) dazzle us with her set of new favorites, including but not limited to: Ellifant, Flume, Clean Bandit, Man Without Country, Icona Pop and more. Thanks for a very entertaining set Andrea!
After Andrea’s set, we were treated to a special interview and live performance from Lisa Loeb, who has a new album available for pre-order now! Loeb showcased her new tunes for us, but made sure to satisfy our craving for the classic “Stay” that helped launch her career in the mid-90s. Very much a tribute to the 90s, her new album No Fairy Tale, co-produced by Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory is a fresh compilation that shows us just how diverse and well-rounded her talents really are. For more info on Loeb’s new tour dates and happenings, click HERE.
Following Lisa Loeb, the funky tribe that is The James Douglas Show brought some serious energy to the stage. I’m pretty sure that every person in the room couldn’t help but move their feet and dance with us. Not only did they bring the funk/R&B vibe, they brought an infectious party to the stage.
Following JDS, our new friends in Electrik People brought some fresh new music to the stage. It’s hard to follow a huge band that brings energy like JDS, but if anyone was up for the challenge, it was these guys. Not skipping a beat, they kept the party going with their electro indie tunes, reminiscent of 80s pop with a contemporary electronic twist. To learn more about these guys, visit their page HERE.
Finally, just when we thought the party was over, the electricity continued to flow with a special performance from Electro Horse. Theses guys hung in there and kept the dance floor moving into the early hours of the morning.
All in all, it was another amazing show put together by the incredible Hunnypot Unlimited team. Huge thanks to everyone that came out to support, everyone that performed, and both the Central SAPC and Hunnypot crews. We couldn’t make it all happen without each and every one of you!
(Firestarter Music): Renowned music supervisor, Andrea von Foerster will be joining us for a very special guest DJ set and interview from the Hot Tub. Andrea has impecable taste in music and is one of the top tastemakers in the game with a long list of credits that incude…music documentaries such as Freestyle: The Art Of Rhyme, Mayor Of The Sunset Strip and The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights as well as independent films such as (500) Days Of Summer, It’s Kind of A Funny Story and most recently From Prada To Nada. Television work includes The O.C., Grey’s Anatomy and Dollhouse and numerous MTV shows such as Run’s House and Life Of Ryan, TV shows Modern Family (ABC), Traffic Light (Fox) and Stargate Universe (Sy-Fy). As well as recent hits Don't Trust the B*tch in Apartment 23, Chronicle (Twentieth Century Fox) and much much more.
In 1994 when Lisa Loeb's breakout song, "Stay (I Missed You)," landed at No. 1 on the charts, it was a remarkable and unparalleled feat for an unsigned artist. Though perhaps not a surprising one for the recent Brown grad, the girl with the cat-eye glasses, who at the time was already making her mark in New York's burgeoning singer-songwriter scene. Lisa's skills are not limited to her singer/songwriter capabilities, in fact one of her most impressive assets is her versatility. She's released a children's album, had her own reality show, appeared on sitcoms and also recorded voice-overs for film, TV and video games. Lisa will be stepping in the Hot Tub for a very special performance in support of her new album No Fairy Tale.
LA based electronic pop trio Elektrik People are bringing their high energy live performance to the Hot Tub. Be sure to check out their Soundcloud page to preview their current EP and if you like it snag the free download of the single "Make Me A Bird" on Facebook. These guys had been tearing it up at their residency at Bootsy Bellow's, so you won't want to miss this one!
Albuquerque based funk rock band The James Douglas Show are set to unleash their high-energy, raw musical experience of funk, R&B, soul, and rock to the Hunnypot airwaves. The James Douglas Show is also the house band for the new hit late-night talk show "The After After Party," which stars "Breaking Bad" actor Steven Michael Quezada and airs every Saturday night on NBC immediately after "Saturday Night Live," and every Friday night internationally through FilmWorks Entertainment on Askmilton.tv. With that said, we highly recommend witnessing this absolute powerhouse of funk, rock and soul! Also be sure to check out their latest single "Wonderfully" off their forthcoming full length album 9due in February 2013.
No Live artist performance audio available, :( Interview segments are great! Check out the video for Chloe Riley's live performance of her single "Dope". :)
For our 256th Hunnypot show (and first show of the new year!) Hot Tub Johnnie got the party started with a DJ set including some stellar picks such as Bowie’s new “Where are we Now?,” Hong Kong Dong’s “2 Flowers” from Belgium, and Vinny Cha$e’s “Biggie and Jordans.”
After Hot Tub, we had Miguel Jimenez of Opus Label lay down some tracks for us, which included highlights such as July Cruise, Pompeya, Tapeaters, Kimbra, DJ Purple Sneakers and more. Hunnypot would like to thank Miguel for coming on the show and for exposing us to some sweet new tunes!
Our first live performer was the very talented Yael Meyer, who brought us sweet melodies with inspiring messages, and a badass band to bring it all together. Despite having a “passenger” (as she referred to her baby bump) Yael gave an incredible performance, we can’t wait to have her join us again in the future!
Next up was Matt Jaffe and the Distractions coming to us from The San Francisco/Bay Area. These kids might be young, but the energy they brought to the stage was mature an they definitely knew how to rock the house. Listen to their interview with Hot Tub Johnnie for a taste of who they are. We are excited to see where these guys are going, and thank them again for bringing us an incredible performance!
Last but certainly not least, Chloe Riley, the next hot thing from San Diego, brought the house down with a sizzling performance. This chick brings the swagger and the dance moves to back it up. We can’t wait to see/hear more from Chloe in the very near future. She had the crowd enthralled with her performance and we’re sure she’s gonna go far.
We’d like to thank the Central SAPC for hosting yet another incredible Hunnypot soirée, and major thanks goes to all the people that make it happen, performers and crew alike! 01/14/2013
Co-founder of Opus Label, a boutique LA based electronic indie music label founded in 2012 with Jeremy Wineberg, will be joining us for a special guest DJ set. Opus Label's avant-garde approach to business effectively merges fashion and music, with an eye towards introducing new up and coming talent, while at the same time creating unique programs and platforms for music to be discovered. Be sure to follow Opus Label on Twitter for all their latest updates and sign up for their weekly newsletter for free downloads, videos and much much more.
San Diego based female rapper, Chloe Riley will be closing out the night. The newly signed Slip-N-Slide Records princess and former go-go dancer is quickly making heads turn with her sexually spiced up videos for the smash hit "S.T.F.U", "B*tch In The Back" and most recently with her new single "Drop A Dub". Chloe brings a sassy spitfire flow, that will remind you of Ke$ha’s raunchy lyrical style and the careless swagger of Nikki Minaj.
Los Angeles based Chilean folk pop, singer-songwriter, Yael Meyer has been compared to artists such as Jose Gonzalez, Jack Johnson, Feist and Death Cab For Cutie will be joining us for a special live performance. Her album Everything Will Be Alright, debuted at the top of the charts on various national radio stations in the US, including new & noteworthy features on iTunes and debuted in the top 200 on the CMJ charts, where it remained for several weeks. SPIN Magazine praised Everything Will Be Alright, as "artful simplicity, offering refuge from modern anxiety". Her songs have appeared on several prime time TV shows including Drop Dead Diva, Private Practice, Parenthood and the hit MTV series Awkward, as well as various films including the sequels "Que Pena Tu Boda" and "Que Pena Tu Vida" ("F*** My Life") by Chilean film-maker Nicolás López, and the upcoming Eli Roth (Hostel, Inglorious Bastards) co-produced "Aftershock" by the same director. 2012 was a huge year for Yael as she toured relentlessly including a 2 month stint of sold out shows in her native Chile, where she performed at the famed festival Lollapalooza Chile 2012, a lineup that also included Foster The People, Bjork, Band of Horses, MGMT and Skrillex.
Matt Jaffe is a 17-year-old singer/songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. With a growing arsenal of new wave/rock songs, he performs regularly in venues such as the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, the Bitter End in New York City and the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Los Angeles. In addition, Matt is currently at work on his first album of original material. In bringing the ambitions of the studio to rambunctious life onstage, he sought out the monster rhythm section of Alex Coltharp and Sammie Fischer.

Hot Tub Johnnie closed out the night with one of his top sets of the year and what a better way to do it than at HP's first ever NYE party! Hot Tub came prepared with a raging set of hard hitting hip hop jams and some funky upbeat electro dance tracks. Kicking off the guest DJ sets was top tastemaker Amanda Krieg now know as Amanda Krieg Thomas (Music Coordinator, Format Entertainment) who treated us with a set list that comprised of many of her top tracks and artists of 2012. She kicked it off with an exceptional opener by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals “The Lion The Beast The Beat” which lead into other top favs like “Yeah Yeah” by Willy Moon, “Don’t Save Me” by Haim, as well as many other gems from Lianne La Havas, Kishi Bashi and much more. Be sure to keep up with all of Amanda’s top favorites as we move into the new year at her blog Tadpole Audio (http://tadpoleaudio.com)
The Hot Tub really began to get bubbling as we welcomed featured celebrity guest Balthazar Getty to the show. The famed actor/musician whom we all know from his role in the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters and as lead member of the rock band Ringside joined Hot Tub Johnnie for a special interview DJ set where we premiered new tracks from his music projects The Wow and Solar Drive. Balt took us back to his early days from acting in movies like Lord Of The Flies, Lost Highway, Ladder 49 and through the beginnings of his time as a beat maker/DJ. We weaved in and out of his hit songs with Ringside like “Tired Of Being Sorry”, “Miami” and “Talk To Me” as well as new cuts “Drama” and “Monster” (feat. Rain Phoenix) off his solo project Solar Drive. Balt lead us into the creation of his latest hip hop project The Wow, which is a stellar collaboration with LA based rapper KO The Legend. Balt and KO spoke together about how they first connected and took us deep into the recording process of The Wow. We featured some heavy bangers “Whittier Blvd.”, “Highlife” and “Who Are We” taken off their debut mixtape Re-Imagined (available now), which will be followed by their debut full length LP in 2013.
Starting off the live segment of the show was featured performers The Wow consisting of Balthazar Getty and KO The Legend. The LA based hip hop duo hit the stage hard as they performed one of their first ever shows for the Hunnypot crowd. They set it off with their new single “Whittier Blvd.” and which lead into their swaggering rendition of “Somebody That I Used To Know”. The Wow kept the crowd excited as they welcomed renowned reggae vocalist Elan Atias (The Wailers) to the stage for the smashing soon to be released 2nd single “The High Life”. Show The Wow some love by checking out their brand new video for “Whittier Blvd.” and download their new mix tape Re-Imagined.
Next to hit the stage was LA based R&B singer/songwriter, Davion Farris. Davion’s voice soared over the smoothly laced R&B beats, as he hit us with addictive pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics. The performance was top notch as he featured an explosive live drummer and sexy exotic dancers. We recommend checking out Davion’s debut EP #IMakeRnB: S.M.A.R.T. Music: Vol. 1 featuring the single “Birthday Girl” (feat. Casey Veggies).
Our final performers were Portland, OR based blues rockers, Hopeless Jack and the Handsome Devil. This hard hitting whiskey blues rock duo may have stole the show as their high energy blues rock tunes lead the Hunnypot crowd into a dancing frenzy. 12/17/2012
The veteran actor and musician will be joining us for a very special guest DJ set/interview. Getty is best known for his role in ABC's Brothers & Sisters as well as being the founding member and producer of the indie rock band Ringside. Getty has also appeared in a number of popular films including Lord of the Flies, Ladder 49, Lost Highway, Natural Born Killers and 50 more. Currently Getty is the main producer for his two active music projects - Solar Drive and The Wow, the latter of which is a collaboration with rapper, KO The Legend who will also be performing on the show. So don't miss what is sure to be one hell of an interview.
As he always does, Mr. Hot Tub Johnnie himself got our 253rd Hunnypot Radio Show off the ground and running. A few highlights from his set were: "Wonderfully" by the wonderful James Douglas Show; the classic "Ungawa" by Chow Nasty; and "#1 Crew" by Treated Crew. Right after Hot Tub's set, we stopped to chat with Seven Saturdays for a minute. They showcased a piece of their live-set-to-come with Eleven Eleven off of their self-titled debut EP and talked a little bit about what they've been up to.
From there, Ms. Laura Katz (Music Supervisor; Cutting Edge Group) impressed us with her set list comprised almost 100% of bands with names that start with B. My favorites (again, my opinion) were: the exclusive debut of "At Your Door"by Big Harp; "Hurracan" by The Blind Shake; and "Family Tree" by the Black Lips. She kept the energy high with an old school feel, and we appreciate her for that. Among many other things, of course.
Mr. Daryl Berg (VP of Music; Shine America) brought us our next set which was a little slower paced, yet it didn't sacrifice any intrigue. A few that peaked my interest were: "Debonair" by The Afghan Whigs; "Hello" by Martin Solveig (feat. Dragonette); and "Reach Out" by Nas (feat. Mary J. Blige). Be sure to check those tracks out, and follow @DarylBerg on twitter as he is one of "Billboards's Twitter 140." Thanks for a killer set Señor Berg.
Starting off our live segment, we were dazzled by Toy Bombs, a group from Salt Lake City with a very versatile sound. What started out as a pop-rock band at the beginning of the set, swiftly morphed into an almost rockabilly, Elvis-influenced rock-and-roll band. From the sparkly silver guitar to the rotating front-men, these guys were certainly stimulating.
The entrancing Seven Saturdays was on next, and they switched up the mood with their loud distorted guitars and manipulated feedback, yet in a shoe-gazer rock sort of way. Definitely a powerful, emotionally intense performance. They too had rotating vocalists, only this time one male and one female. Both were extremely talented, which was to be expected in such a stellar group of musicians.
Lastly, and certainly not least, we were entertained by our good friend E-Train, aka Mr. Erich Malo. Constantly lighting the mic on fire with his quick lyrics, he never disappoints. One of my favorite tracks is/was "Wreck the Discotech" which will be on his upcoming sophomore album, Imagination of Mr. Malo set to release on the 1st of the year, 2013.
A hug thank you goes out to the Hunnypot crew that makes all the magic happen every week. Much love to the Central SAPC for hosting us at their fine establishment once again. And last but not least, a big thank you to all the performers and guest DJs for bringing us some amazing content for yet another killer Hunnypot Radio Show. 12/03/2012

Toy Bombs moved to Los Angeles from Salt Lake City three years ago and they’ve been making waves with their wide ranging, hard to pin down sound ever since. The band is helmed by songwriters and producers Cole Barnson – guitar, vocals, bass, percussion, harmonica and Brandon McBride – guitar, keyboards, vocals, bass, percussion, drums, harmonica, effects. On stage, the band treats audiences to a relentless barrage of catchy, upbeat songs that get crowds moving and singing along. With Cole and Brandon switching instruments and trading off on vocals, the stage is a blur of constant stimuli for both the ears and eyes. Add the masked wonders Sasha the Cat on bass and drummer Rocko the Bear, and you’ve got a three ring, rock’n’roll circus that’s sure to delight even the most jaded fan.
The subtle melodic nuances of Jonathan D. Haskell draw musical inspiration from late night drives lost in the Mulholland hills of after hours Los Angeles. In these quiet moments symphonic landscapes emerge to form the headphone-centric Seven Saturdays. Their songs make you feel as if you’re on those late night drives, creating music with delicate keyboards and distant vocals that tug at your heart strings. While recorded in Los Angeles, Seven Saturdays strays from your typical indie rock band. The recordings of Seven Saturdays comprise an impressive list of talented musicians including: Morgan Kibby (M83), Mike Garson (David Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins), Wesley Precourt (Dave Stewart, Jenny Lewis), and Eric Heywood (The Pretenders, Ray LaMontagne).

During his freshman year at the University of Dayton, his mother Roxane Malo tragically passed away. Devastated, he returned to business school in Madison, WI where his passion for music and art blossomed. Currently, he writes and produces from his studio located in the Hollywood Hills. Having already licensed his smash singles “Glow So Hard” and “Get Down” (taken from the debut album Wrath Of Roxane) to Coca-Cola and YouTube’s Dance On, E-Train is ready to explode into 2013 with his sophomore album Imagination Of Mr. Malo set for release on the 1st of the year 2013.
This past Tuesday night, our great friends at Blue Microphones opened the doors to their state of the art studio at the House of Rock mansion in Santa Monica. The studio which was designed by multi-GRAMMY winning mixer/producer Jack Joseph Puig and Blue Mics', Tyler Barth was the perfect place for our Hunnypot Pop-Up Radio Show.
Hot Tub Johhnie kicked the intimate party session off with an all "Hunnypot Artists" DJ set playing all the standout tracks off the brand new Hunnypot Vol. 10 Sampler including Far East Movement, Yuna, RICH, Teenage Bottlerocket, The Dollyrots, The Wow, Steve Poltz and many other great gems you should know.
Helping kick the party into full gear were LA alt-rockers and Hunnypot favorites the ROBOTANISTS. The band which is lead by lead singer/songwriter, Sarah Ellquist performed a stellar live session for the intimate crowd, playing standouts and fan favorites like "Wait a Minute Here" and "The Ghost You're Haunting". Sarah and the boys also premiered 3 new tracks which will be featured on the bands' forthcoming LP set for release in early 2013. Be sure to head over to the Hunnypot website to listen/download their entire performance!! The House of Rock/Blue Mic studio crew did an incredible job...as they engineered an absolute peerless sound session!!
DJ Boom Shack also got into the action, as he closed out the night with some intense jams by HP artists' Eighty4 Fly, Peachcake, Skull Tape, Wool and newly breaking artists Trinidad Jame$, Lorine Chia w/ Chance The Rapper and many more. 11/27/2012

After an incredible anniversary show, the Hunnypot crew brought the heat with yet another amazing show to kick off our new year. With guest DJ sets by Tyler Barth of Blue Microphones, and Trygge Toven Music Supervisor and Producer at Vidsyn, the Central SAPC in Santa Monica was the place to be!
Hot Tub Johnnie got us started like he always does with a solid new track from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis "Thrift Shop (Feat. Wanz)." An impressive set of current artists like Gosteffects and Teenage Bottlerocket followed. My favorite track would have to have been the collaboration between Iggy Pop and Best Coast's Bethany Constantino, "Let's Boot and Rally."
Tyler Barth was our first guest DJ, and brought some fantastic picks like Blacklight Dinner Party, The Mowgli's and LA based Alt-J to name a few. We loved having him on to talk about what's going on over at our favorite Blue Microphones.
Mr. Trygge Toven brought out a killer set of new and upcoming tracks that had the venue groovin as well. A few highlights were PHOX's "Sister", Chet Faker's "I'm Into You" and Todd Terje's "Swing Star Part 2".
Our live show was insane with an extremely high energy performance from Peachcake. From the feather boa accents on stage, to the goggles and white shag vest adorning the frontman, we couldn't turn away from the stage. We are so glad they were able to join us all the way from Arizona, great set.
Last, but CERTAINLY not least, we were entertained by the entrancing harmonies of The Young Romans. This guy-girl duo knows exactly what they're doing. Complimenting each other on keys and guitar, the vocal collaboration between these two was incredible. If you missed them, make sure to check out their latest video that scored a spot on our HP Video Pick segment of the website.
We hope you were out there on the front lines with us, but if you weren't, make sure to be there next week for our 253rd Hunnypot Radio Show at the Central SAPC! Much love to the Hunnypot crew for putting in the blood, sweat and tears it takes to make it all happen. 11/19/2012

This indie, folk pop duo formed in Los Angeles in the spring of 2010 after Brad Hooks and Sari Mellafe met through mutual friends who pointed out the complimentary style of their vocals and tastes in music. The two formed a quick bond and started writing together making piano and guitar focused music that was at once organic, yet big in nature and showcases both of their voices together in harmony. The duo signed with producer and label owner Jim Roach of Red Parade Music in 2010. Since signing The Young Romans have seen great success, including their song "Where You Go" being featured as the end-title track in the film Salmon Fishing In The Yemen. Their debut full-length album Tiger Child was released in early 2012 and features the iTunes "Single of the Week" and title track "Tiger Child".

What started 7 years and now 250 show's ago is still going stronger than ever as Hot Tub Johnnie and the Hunnypot crew had one hell of a party last Monday night!
Before we got to the blazing DJ sets and performances by our special guests Thomas Golubic, Selena Arizanovic, Steve Poltz and The Moth and the Flame - Hot Tub Johnnie kicked the show off in classic Hot Tub fashion with upbeat bangers from REFLEX, Mayer Hawthorne/RAC Remix, Dragonette, Far East Movement, Kreayshawn and the new RiFF RaFF single/HP video pick "Jenny Craig".
Our first guest DJ of the night was music supervisor Selena Arizanovic, Nu Image/Millenium Films' go to lady for all things music. Selena prepared an exceptional set featuring some of her favorites, including a couple taken from her latest projects The Iceman and Playing For Keeps. Tracks from Terraplane Sun, Dion, L.J. Waiters and The Electrics, The Go-Getters, Galactic and much more all shined like gems as Selena stormed through her very 1st Hunnypot DJ Set! Be sure to keep eye's out for her new projects The Iceman (Richard Kuklinski), Lovelace (Linda Lovelace), Playing For Keeps and The Killing Season all due out late 2012 - early 2013.
Joining in the celebration was none other than Hunnypot favorite Thomas Golubic, the main musical genius behind AMC's drama classics Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. Johnnie got Tommy G in the Hot Tub for a sweet interview session...where they looked back on the first 250 shows and even got Thomas to sneak out a few teaser tips for the upcoming episode of The Walking Dead. With that said Thomas also came ready with slammin' DJ set with nuggets from Mt. Wolf, KiD CuDi/King Chip, Azealia Banks, Kill Paris, ultraísta/Four Tet Remix and many more to hear!
We also had some smokin' live performances including a wildly pleasing headlining set from renowned singer-songwriter Steve Poltz. Steve brought fire to the stage on his Noineen Noiny Noin standouts "Check Your Head" and "Spirit Hands" and taking over the night with his freestyle tribute jam to Hunnypot's 250th show -- fantastic! Poltz also included a stellar rendition of his Jewel penned smash "Who Will Save Your Soul" where he gave insight to the entire back story on the song and his crazy trip with Jewel in Mexico. Be sure to pick up/download Steve Poltz' latest album Noineen Noiny Noin.
Utah based alternative rockers, The Moth and the Flame closed out the night with an emphatic performance, which included powerful showings of their standout gems "Lullaby II" and "How We Woke Up" taken off their self-titled debut album. 11/05/2012
Thomas is currently AMC's go to music guy for the hit TV series' The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad. Thomas is no stranger to the HPR airwaves and always brings some very special handpicked nuggets for us to groove to and who knows maybe even a little insight into the upcoming final 8 episodes of Breaking Bad.
Music supervisor for Nu Image/Millenium Films. Selena is one of the top supervisors in the field, having worked on blockbusters like The Expendables 1 & 2, Rambo, The Mechanic and many others. Her latest projects include the highly anticipated big screen bio-pics, The Iceman (Richard Kuklinski story) and Lovelace (Linda Lovelace story). This will be Selena's first ever Hunnypot DJ set and we couldn't be more happy to have her!
Southern California’s Steve Poltz is one of the most beloved songwriters of his generation. His music--as both a solo artist and with cult legends The Rugburns--has enjoyed long stretches in the Billboard top ten, gobbled up acres of mainstream radio and appeared in scores of television shows, commercials and movies. His latest release Noineen Noiny Noin is without reservation, the most absurdly-named, pulchritudinous, footstomping party of 2012. Poltz’ 13th full-length album is a wind-in-the-face joyride that takes on a jaw-dropping range of themes, including love, murder, Johnny Cash and transvestites. From top-to-bottom, Noineen Noiny Noin rocks, beguiles and entertains, opening like a flower with each new song. A wild, freakish-looking flower, but a flower, nonetheless.
This Utah based alternative rock band is the brainchild of Brandon Robbins and Mark Garbett and they're rapidly winning fans and critics to their unique sound which is easily described as "The National meets Radiohead". They captured the imagination of their hometown with an art installation of anthropomorphic giants that reached a towering 20ft in height. They also have recently released their album in physical form only (with no digital downloads) due to the importance they have placed on the Art. Since adding a second show to their sold out release The Moth & The Flame have built their following with a string of sold out shows in their hometown and have steadily begun branching out through the Western US. The Moth and The Flame were recently invited to do a showcase at MPMF 2012 Cincinnati alongside other big names Grizzly Bear, Andrew Bird, Sleigh Bells, The Walkmen, The Antlers etc.

In this new video for Hong Kong Dong's single "Yoko Oh No!" we are taken on a bizarre cartoon journey, that leaves us wanting more. In terms of lyrics videos, this one is seriously entertaining. Hailing from Belgium, this brother/sister duo recently released their debut album Sweet Sensations in May of 2012. Built around hard-hitting electronic beats and joyously absurd lyrics it is sure to get you moving.
