Branchez and Big Wet seem an unlikely duo at first, but after hearing “Turn Up On The Weekend” you'll be asking when their next party anthem is being released! This mix of country and trap music demonstrates the emergence of the creative collaborative energy that's been blowing up with musicians. Branchez is known for being an electronic DJ/ producer who’s remix of “High You Are” by What So Not blew up in 2013 at music festivals everywhere.

Big Wet is a newly emerging artist with a deep and distinct southern voice which makes for interesting texture in this hip hop tune. The visuals in the music video are exactly what one would expect from country boys who are letting loose. Bull riding, beers in the countryside next to giant pickups, and boats on the river with gorgeous southern gals who are going along for the ride all flash throughout this almost comical video. The most memorable scene is of Big Wet fiercely riding a mechanical bull on the beach.

While there have been some skeptics of this genre mixed track, it’s already reached #1 on United Stated Viral 50 chart and has over 140,000 views on YouTube. Even critics who’ve labeled the song as “odd” can’t help but say it’s also catchy. One thing is for sure, this song is 100% Hunnypot approved and we will be turning up to this on the weekend!

Minneapolis rapper, Prof, just dropped his new video! This artist once labeled the city's trashiest rapper pays homage to the Trailer Park Boys in this hilarious parody. In the "Time Bomb" video they're in a mobile home park and they're causing all kinds of chaos. The hip hop party beat is catchy and sure to get stuck in you head! Prof also throws in vocal lines that not only progress the song but also shows a cool blues tone that the artist is capable of.

10 years after the 2007 release of his debut album, Project Gampo, Prof is deeper into the game than ever. He's performed with prominent names like Tech N9ne (who was also featured on his last album, Liability), Atmosphere, and Brother Ali. With four albums and three EPs out, this music video is his first official music video release in two years. He's starting to gain some national attention after being supported mainly by local hard core fans. Prof has always been open about relationship with his father and counteracted the tougher content by professing his love for booze and women. The end result being the honest adventures of what Prof describes as his life documented into music.

MOD SUN is a multi-talented artist that can rap, rock, and write incredibly thoughtful music.  His “Hippy-Hop” sound is unlike any you have ever heard – a mash-up of sounds from the past, present and future.  His recent show at the Observatory OC was simply amazing.  Energy levels were sky-high as he led fans down a magical musical highway that was fresh, edgy, and adventurous.  From the very first note to his final encore, MOD SUN had the capacity crowd singing, dancing, and most-importantly smiling all-night long.  That’s my definition of a killer show, and can say with absolute certainty that everyone who attended this concert walked away drenched in sweat and smiling ear to ear.  Definitely a performance not to be missed.

Hunnypot's very own Matthew Belter sits down with the multi-talented MOD SUN for an exclusive recorded interview prior to him taking the stage at the Observatory OC in Santa Ana, CA.  They begin the conversation discussing his roots in Minneapolis.  Topics include early musical influences, how MOD SUN came to be, and his spiritual journey to enlightenment.  So, hang on to those hats and glasses, cause this here’s gonna be one wild interview!

Siobhan Heard was once like the rest of us. She has the voice but was too shy to share. It was until her father gave her the first opportunity to sing solo at the church at the age of 12, where she grabbed onto the opportunity and broke her shell since. Now, she is the semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (R&B/Hip Hop).

The “Before Breakfast” singer is a Texas-born singer-songwriter, who academically studied jazz and classical music. Her turning point in Los Angeles was when she met the talented, late Samantha Purple, who discovered Siobhan’s unique sound and made her the flagship artist of her production company Tha Blazin Star.

Song and music inspired Siobhan “when [she’s] down and hold [her] steady when [she’s] in danger of floating away.” But don’t “you laugh and try to squash [her] accomplishments down,” because she deserves better than that.

Her hope for expressing herself through music is that “when you hear [her] music, you get a piece of the joy it gives [her]”. Now take a listen and see the joy it brings YOU! Or, you could come on out and listen to yourself on our May 29th party!

Reverie is at it again with her new single "Just Wanna Love You." On a rainy day in Berlin, Reverie navigates through the streets, subways, and parks with a tranquil fluid and her own "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" spirit. Reverie pays homage to the victims of the tragedy in Berlin with the hashtag #PrayForBerlin. "Just Wanna Love You" shows off a softer side of Reverie with an alluring vocal track backed with a smooth sexy groove. The song provides a yearning sentiment while remaining true. Reverie asks for no excuses or apologies.

Reverie is heavily involved in the creative process of her videos, and this one is no exception.  She co-directed “Just Wanna Love You” with LA-based photographer Enkrypt. Don't miss out on her Hunnypot debut March 6 live at The Mint.

This video pick is Reverie’s “Scheming.”  Released last month, this video takes place in Amsterdam, NL.  The beautiful videography focuses on not just large-scale views of the city, but also intimate shots of smaller alleys, tight shots on Reverie herself, and other minute details.  It shows off a brief snapshot of the unique culture of Amsterdam, including of course, weed.  With a catchy hook and sharp verses, “Scheming” is the perfect track for celebrating oneself despite the misgivings and failures of others.  Reverie sets herself apart from the lazy, the fake, and those who just aren’t good enough.

Michete is back with yet another music video, which might be the best of the bunch, yet!  Michete’s videos seem to be getting better and better with each.  This video, released just last week is for the trance-rap jam D.L.O.D.  Michete does the unexpected and true to this spirit, D.L.O.D.’s video features our favorite gender-queer rapper dancing and spitting in front of a blank space upon which a series of trippy images, cultural clips, and animated renditions of Michete themself runs continually.

This backdrop of ever-changing incoherence lends itself to the song’s message.  Michete’s unique blend of gamer culture, queerness, pop culture references, and witticisms is worth more than a cursory glance, because once you watch, you just can’t stop.  At the very least, the track itself is entertaining, but we think you’ll really enjoy this fun, trippy video.

For those unfamiliar with Michete and gagging for more, check out our Michete artist page for more info, more video picks, music downloads, and audio from Michete’s live performance at Hunnypot Live on October 3rd.

Prepare to have your mind blown. Perhaps the expression is overused, but not in this case. Michete smashes all expectations and norms with gender-bending presentation and lyrics that question and push the boundaries of sexuality, gender, and the hip hop genre as we know it.  With rave reviews and coverage from major outlets including SPIN Magazine, Pitchfork, Paper Magazine, and more, Washington-based artist Michete has blown up on the scene in just a short time and only two self-released EPs released so far.

Combining venom-filled disses, crass sexual come-ons, and left-field pop culture references with an androgynous gender presentation that is equally inspired by glam rockers, anime villains, and drag queens, transfeminine rapper and producer Michete is on the fast track to becoming one of hip-hop’s most polarizing and exciting new acts. The dagger-tongued MC is unapologetically queer, delivering punchlines with a genderfluid braggadocio that sets her apart from her peers, frequently making listeners uncomfortable in the process. Drawing influence from a wide range of artists including Kanye West, Peaches, Nicki Minaj, and Kesha, Michete combines his unique lyrical stance and vocal demeanor with chintzy, economic, self-produced beats to create a sound that’s completely her own.

Growing up in Spokane Valley, WA (a city she describes as being a “cesspool of white nonsense”), Michete is a former theater kid who had a natural charisma and an unhealthy obsession with Lady Gaga, honing her performance skills by singing in talent shows, acting in plays, and performing improv comedy all throughout middle and high school. She began dabbling in music around the time she graduated high school in 2010, and in 2014, decided to make a serious commitment to pursuing a career as a rapper. Michete released her debut EP, Cool Tricks, in June of 2015, and received considerable attention and acclaim from journalists and listeners alike, securing a spot opening for recording artist Shamir in Seattle the following September and later appearing on SPIN Magazine’s year-end list of The 50 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2015.

2018 finds Michete releasing her new album Cool Tricks 3. This instant underground classic contains "Tantrum" (duet with Shamir), her cover of the Dead or Alive classic "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" along with hot new originals "Rihanna Kraft Singles" & "Touch It". Michete's material is represented by Hunnypot for licensing.
