With almost 140k views and still counting, this music video of “Rack It Up” is loud and fiery. Loud in a sense where you are left with nothing but captivated by presence. Fiery not only was he rapping, but his eyes, hands and body were also dancing, on top of expressive camera movements speaking directly to you.
A little introduction for the unaware: This young hip hop artist is Christopher Nekeith Mitchell, aka Nekeith. Currently a student at the University of North Carolina, he is still performing in multiple venues to broaden his artistry. Raised in High Point, NC, Nekeith began his career at the age of 15, and released his first mixtape 'Unbelievable' in 2012 under the stage name of Newprettyboii.
Just in the past month, he released a 12-track album No Homophobia featuring top US Billboard artist Cardi B. She said in the Intro pinpointing the homophobic culture of hip hop, “what does being gay have to do with your talent?”, while Nekeith’s song “No Homophobia” acted as a reply to what she said. Kanye West was featured in the Interlude. He is totally stepping up the game of brutally provoking conversations about the LGBTQ community by stating Hip Hop being the opposite of “gay”.

Princess Nokia has released her self-directed, double-feature music video for slow, synthy, horn-backed tracks “Bart Simpson” and “Greenline.” Both songs are off her new album 1992 Deluxe, a combination of her previously released soundcloud mixtape by the same name and eight new songs including “G.O.A.T.,” “ABCs of New York,” and “Flava.”
Reenacting her high school experience, Destiny Frasqueri again steps into her “Tomboy” persona for “Bart Simpson,” clothed in either oversized cargo pants or a Slipnot t-shirt she says she stole from the boy who took her virginity. As always, Princess Nokia oozes sass throughout, smacking on some awfully sticky-seeming gum as she walks down her high school hallway and taking hefty swigs out of a tall can in a darkly lit New York apartment. Shots of the rapper getting pelted with dodgeballs are juxtaposed next to shots of her blatantly falling asleep in class to fearlessly kissing her friends and drunkenly reading the label of a Colt 40-oz beer. “Bart Simpson” tells the classic story of a high school student with her own secret life, but with the twist of Princess Nokia’s own personal brand of “New York mood.”
Moving away from Frasqueri’s distinctive story-telling directive style, the second half of the double feature is reminiscent of 90’s hip-hop music videos with a shot of Princess Nokia speaking directly to the audience through a fisheye lens threading together scenes of her romping about NYC. Between shots of her smoking cigarettes and flirting with another woman to pictures of her sitting wide legged and slouched on the New York subway, Frasqueri paints a picture of her day-to-day experience as a New Yorker--an experience that playfully pokes fun at established in-public etiquette. In general, the double feature shows a Princess Nokia that is perhaps more realistic to the life of Destiny Frasqueri--one that might not be as glamorous as she paints it in videos for “Flava” or “G.O.A.T.” but still uniquely carefree.
"Gucci Gang" is the party banger the hip hop community has been waiting for! Lil Pump has emerged in a new wave of gangster hip hop that has hit the music scene hard as the rise of party rap continues to grow. This video consists every major element that any respected gang trap video should such as flashing cash, waving guns, and smoking lots of herb. Some of the footage even appears as having been shot on a phone giving fans a real feeling of being involved in all of the exciting chaos.
Lil Pump, who is originally from South Florida, is experiencing so much success at the surprising young age of 16 years old. His Soundcloud numbers are that of an internet sensation following in the footsteps of similar major trap artist XXXTENTACION who blew up back in January. He has almost 8 million plays alone on his song "D Rose". He also works closely with producer Smokepurpp on songs such as "Elementary".

One of Princess V's most recent singles, "Masterbate" gets raunchy in this descriptive hip hop track about the one of the rapper's favorite habits. Vitarah's boldness always wins us over as a new era of womanhood is formed through fearless female empowered lyricism. This song, though criticized by some on the internet, represents the climb to a certain level of acceptance women are starting to obtain when it comes to being able to write about anything that men can write about. The hip hop genre is notorious for having male artists cover the topic of sex but socially, it seems that when females express desires, it becomes taboo. Now, we're seeing women come out of their shell as they start to get personal and overcome the male dominated genre. This video is teasingly sexy with playful twists that prove V is just a girl that wants to have fun. Princess Vitarah's brave strides have earned her a lot of notability in rap and hip hop and we're excited to keep seeing her creating viral music that bumps and sends an endearing message!
Princess Vitarah will be performing on Hunnypot Live broadcasting from The Mint LA on October 2nd where she will bring all her fire and sass for an amazing set and interview. Also performing a set that night will be the incredibly talented Michete! This is sure to be an on-the-edge night with enticing live acts. Hunnypot Live is free, all ages, and 420 friendly. Lizzo is the queen when it comes to self love and positivity and "Water Me" is proof. This is a gorgeous, inspiring video that gives viewers a look into the souls of every day people as they push through. We have all had that ah-ha moment when we're carrying out our daily routine and we need to take a second to remind ourselves why we do what we do and self-motivate. As she sings "I am my inspiration" the visuals focus on a young man drenched in sweat in the middle of training; determination written all over his face. The beautiful people featured in this video are captured in well framed, soft lit shots. The ending is a flawless payoff with a serene moving portrait of everyone viewers followed throughout the video, together in a family home.
Making huge waves in the alternative hip hop scene, Lizzo is now based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is founder of groups The Chalice, Grrrl Prty, The Clerb, Ellypseas, and Absynthe. Her last EP release Coconut Oil gained her serious momentum and with this recent single release, it doesn't look like Lizzo is stopping anytime soon.

Going all out for the "Blue Ribbon" music video, Jessie Reyez gets a little crazy! This single off of her most recent EP Kiddo is a lively compilation of crazy stage moments, crowd surfing, and unforgettable behind the scenes footage of the singer. It's a bold song for the normally somber songstress however it's a refreshing turn that shows diversity in her artistry and fans seem to agree! It's a fun video that depicts another unsolicited side Jessie while also giving an inside look at some of the intimate details that goes into what she does for her career such as making hand painted T-shirts.
This Canadian-Columbian singer-songwriter is soul bearing in her music and with her audience. She gained notoriety for the music video for her song "Gatekeeper" which depicts music industry sexism as she sings about an experience she had as a young female trying to make it big in the music industry. She's been compared to greats such as Amy Winehouse for her ability to give gut-wrenchingly beautiful, brutally honest performances.

When something starts with a mature content warning, it's automatically intriguing. The video for the song "Prayin 4 The Weekend" by Kozze is no different and does not disappoint! Kozze's vocals are smooth and emotionally powerful over the party trap beat. The song talks about a declining romantic relationship and how one handles it. As forewarned, there is a theme of nudity, drugs, and violence with an unsuspected ending. The video is very cinematic in nature and is done tastefully evoking thought about the characters and their situation. Take a trip into this drugged up party world where the depressed escape through visions of euphoria and hot pink haired women.
Kozze is an up and coming R&B/Hip-Hop multi-instrumentalist who writes, produces, and engineers most of his own material. This song is from his recent EP Sellouts released earlier in 2017. We're excited to announce he will be taking the stage at Hunnypot Live at The Mint LA on October 16th, 2017. Kozze is an amazing live vocalist so catch this free, all ages event! Princess Vitarah continues to be a Hunnypot favorite as we highlight this nostalgic colorful song "Spongebob". Anyone who is a 90's baby has been witness to the craze that Nickelodeon unleashed when this yellow sponge took the little screen. Princess V pays tribute by comparing her lady parts to the beloved sea cartoon and rapping clever quips that reference the show and it's characters. She's pictured in a park with friends flashing bills dancing around a life size Spongebob as well as at a hangout with a gorgeous gold metallic curtain draped in the background.
Princess Vitarah is well traveled being from Nigeria and now living in Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dream of being in music. She regularly raps about working hard to provide for her family as well as getting naughty and what her bold desires are. We were introduced to her by our very own Michete, both of which will be performing at our upcoming October 2nd Hunnypot Live performance. Hear from Princess herself as we dive into an interview with her before the live sets. You won't wanna miss this unforgettable event!
