Hunnypot Radio #207 welcomed the return of DJ Hot Tub Johnnie who was absent during our last broadcast. Hot Tub returned with a banging' set which featured new music from The Strokes "Under Cover Of Darkness", LA favorites Grouplove "Don't Say Oh Well", new music from Mic Terror "The Real" and some killer indie/pop from Skull Tape "Max Boot".
Jeremy Rosen (Roxwell Management) was our first guest on the show. Jeremy who used to be a disk jockey in New Jersey, previewed a fantastic set of new music. We heard from the new talent out of the Roxwell Camp. including the youngest rapper ever signed to Jive Records Issa, check out "Time Is Paper". The other superb new artists featured in the set were Power"When You're Gone" and producer/rapper/artist Dawaun Parker "Schemin'". Jeremy is set for a big week at SXSW as they're hosting a slammin' showcase party Cake Fight on 3/18 at The Thirsty Nickle 325 E. 6th St., Austin, TX - performances by Allen Stone, Neon Hitch, Washington and more. REASON
Our last guest and musical guest of the evening was rising new hip-hop artist Reason from Orlando, FL now based in LA. Reason, well known for his killer high energy performances' did not disappoint. Usually performing with his live band Reason still brought the heat, with DJ Addict providing the beats we heard new cuts off his latest release The Social Network incl…"In Retrospect" and "Go Reason". He closed the set with smooth, upbeat "Glass In The Air"off his The Cool Graduate EP. Check out Reason live at The Roxy, March 27th will a full band… it'll blow you away!
In classic HP style we closed the night with a sing-a-long of Lou Rawls - "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" it was epic! 03/07/2011
