OCEAN CITY DEFENDER is the performing name of Ontario-based multi-instrumentalist K. Preston Merkley. Far from the typical sounds of a solo-performer, Ocean City Defender creates lush synthpop songs both on stage and record. Brand new artist RAJ has been getting a lot of buzz around the blogosphere since the release of his one and only song; Ghost. New York City’s The Dig have been playing together in one incarnation or another since they were 12 years old. They’ve been building some serious buzz since their newest release arriving just a year after their full length Midnight Flowers, is the Tired Hearts EP, which showcases their 80’s shoegaze-inspired shadowy rock and roll. As bassist Emile Mosseri tells it, “We made this video in an old dilapidated building on 5 Beekman St. in Manhattan with our good friend Tyler Greco. We were the last people to shoot in this amazing old space before it was gutted and renovated into a swanky hotel”. The video tells a story of a past love through flashback memories from sexy dinner parties and a New Years Eve celebration all set in the backdrop of this mesmerizingly creepy building.

Leading us into the live performances was OC based singer-songwriter, Stacy Clark. Joining us for one of her first LA appaerances, Stacy played a beautifully crafted set of pop rock tunes highlighted by the standout tracks “Lose My Mind” and “Next Town” taken from her new EP Days Into Nights.
Next to the stage was none other than Hunnypot’s own and LA based rock trio, The Moonbeams. Lead by the beautifully talented, Beck Black, The Moonbeams stormed through a set of gritty rock jams with a punk infused attitude. Their two singles “Rock On” and “Lifes A Circus” were definitely the night’s highlight, but it was their ode to Iggy Pop and The Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog” that power stamped the night.
LA based alt rockers, Guardian Ghost were next up. Fronted by lead singer-songwriter, Jesse Glick and backed by a powerful band, Guardian Ghost performed a brilliant set of ambient, electro infused rock tunes. Jesse and the boys premiered new songs as they’re preparing to release a new album later this month.
Closing out the night was another HP favorite, LA based indie-pop quartet, Y LUV. Fresh off the release of their new EP Take A Ride, Y LUV took to the stage with an explosive energy that translated into epeic performances of their standout tracks “Driftin'”, All I Wanna Do” and their catchy single from 2011 “Keep It Rollin”.

Eclectic Approach is a band hailing from Seattle, Washington. Their hard work on recording and touring, along with their stylistic blend of rock, funk, and hip hop, helped them win the SXSW top unsigned band title. The band is comprised of vocalist Jowed Hadeed, guitarists Justin MacDonald & Ryan Jander, bassist Martin Celt, and drummer Chris Lucier. They have appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, performing their single "All That It’s Missing (Mind Control)." Eclectic Approach released their new Break the Floor EP in July. "Cool" is their hit single from their album "Jump Into Life." They’ll be appearing on Hunnypot Radio on November 18th.
