Filling in for Hot Tub was DJ Boom Shack who put together a slammin’ set of new handpicked tunes to jam to. Boom Shack featured new cuts from The Mynabirds “Generals”, the Owsley Brothers “Hot Mess”, the addictive new Charli XCX single “Nuclear Seasons”, LA’s own Wildcat! Wildcat! “Mr. Quiche” and Boom Shacks’ latest hangover anthem “Sh*t Got Crazy” by A.Dd+ out of Austin TX.
Julie Moe (ole Songs) took expertise to the test and passed with flying colors during her tribute set to the late Notorious B.I.G. who passed away 15 years ago on March 9th. Handpicking some quality Biggie gems including “Who Shot Ya”, “Unbelievable” and the all time classic “Flava In Ya Ear (Remix)”.
Julie also brought to the show our first featured performer of the night Adam Lasher, a former contestant on NBC’s The Voice and also a rising LA singer-songwriter with an absolute killer voice and not to mention the nephew of Carlos Santana. Adam played a few songs live from the Hot Tub including a smoking’ cover of Estelle’s “American Boy” and also featured his rockin new single “Lie To Me” – the title track off his brand new EP. Our final performer artist on the night was the beautiful Pasadena r&b/pop singer-songwriter Moniquea, who lit up the Hunnypot airwaves with her soothing yet powerful vocals. Moniquea performed her bangin’ West Coast single “Can’t Let You Go” off her most recent self titled album and also featured the new unreleased 80s stylized banger “Not Enough” and deep album cut “Johnny”. First timer DJ Bernz closed out the night with a special surprise handpicked set loaded with funky soulful gems. Award winning author and music publishing guru Randy Poe (President, Leiber & Stoller Music Publishing) was our special industry guest DJ of the night. Randy came on the show in support of his new book titled Stalking The Red Headed Stranger. Randy spoke sharing some great stories and tips from the book – where he chased American icon Willie Nelson across Canada, in his attempt to pitch a single song to the Red Headed Stranger. The book is a guide to the art and history of professional song plugging - not one to miss! So given that Randy put together a Willie Nelson tribute DJ set in honor of his book. he featured classics like…"Truck Drivin' Man", "Pancho and Lefty", "Bloody Mary Morning" and superb rendition of Willie covering Coldplay's "The Scientist".
LA electro, dance pop duo Das Tapes provided a energized set of hard rocking electro dance beats. Before killing it live we opened the set with their latest single "This Party" (if you haven't seen the video -check it out!). Longtime music publisher and veteran tastemaker Jon Rosner (JR Music) will be joining us in the Hot Tub for an interview and DJ set of some of his latest favorites. Rosner, formerly of The Bicycle Music Company has a deep musical mind and an appreciation for great songs. We all are very excited to have him with us.
Our 3rd and final guest of the evening is California raised hip hop emcee Jo’ LuQ. His songs focus on the culture of Hip Hop and celebrate the spirit of life. Our first guests are LA indie, pop rockers Mr. Downstairs. The group is the brainchild of Dani Artaud formerly of widely popular electro/pop dance group the Millionaires and Asia Whiteacre. Their infectious new single called "Legendary" has created quite the buzz on YouTube sparking many people to offer their own renditions of the song. Our first guest DJ was Thomas Golubic', music supervisor for the hit TV series' Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and The Killing. Thomas is a frequent Hunnypot radio guest and had a killer high energy set saved for us with bangers from The Beatnuts, Pretty Lights, Smif-N-Wessun, Jon MCXRO and in honor of the late Heavy D "You Can See What I See".
The Reverend Bud E. Love from the Cannabist Church Of Christ was our next guest to hit the hot tub and probably one of the most anticipated guests. The Reverend gave a highly regarded sermon in front of a huge crowd on the importance of legalizing marijuana. It may have been the Reverend's first Hunnypot appearance and will definitely not be the last; as it was a perfect match for Hunnypot who has been a long time advocate for Prop 19. So get out and vote and help support The Cannabist Church Of Christ.
DJ Boom Shack closed out the party with a few special requests for Jason Hemmens' "Kissing, Dancing, Singing, Jo LuQ's "Backpack" and upcoming hip hop artist Sum-in-1's banging' singles "Launch Pad" and "Again and Again".

Matt Lilley created MCL Music Services in 2009 to provide Music Clearance, Licensing, and Supervision services to the Film, Television, and Advertising communities. Previously the Director of Music Clearance in the Feature Film division at Paramount Pictures from 1996 - 2008, Matt was responsible for much of the clearance negotiating and licensing in many of Paramount’s most successful films and soundtracks over that span of time.
In late 2008, Matt was named Vice President of Music Clearance and Licensing at Lionsgate Entertainment (in charge of the Film, Television, and Marketing divisions of the company) which he transitioned into maintaining as his first client under the umbrella of MCL Music Services.
Over the past several years MCL Music Services has expanded its services and now works in Music Supervision in the independent film and documentary world and Catalogue Administration.
An avid fan of jazz music, Matt is a lifelong saxophone player, performing with The Jazz Butchers and his jazz quartet in the greater Los Angeles area.
Matt holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix (2003) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Industry Studies from California State University, Northridge (1997).

Our first guest Phil Gallo (Billboard) made his second appearance on the show and handpicked a working mans set for the Labor Day celebration. Some standouts from the Phil's set were Ry Cooder's "No Banker Left Behind", Harry Nilsson "Good Old Desk" and The Del Lords' "How Can A Poor Man Stand Such times and Live".

Rami Matan Even-Esh (??????: ??? ??? ???-??), better known by his stage name Kosha Dillz, is an American rapper and world class improv artist that has recieved major attention for his dedication to success. He has played every kind of gig, ranging from shows with Rza of the Wu Tang Clan and Matisyahu, to the Legendary Yo Gabba Gabba childrens show. He is most known for his ability to improv in front of thousands of people an rap in hebrew and spanish combined.
Raised in Chicago, Erich “E-TRAIN” Malo has always been known for his obsession with breakdancing, beat-boxing, and party rapping. Growing up with a twin sister classically trained as a dancer and choreographer, E-TRAIN was constantly surrounded by music and dance. Despite his artistic bent, E-TRAIN majored in business but when his mother Roxane Malo tragically passed away during his freshman year, young Erich’s passion for music and art blossomed and he transformed into the artist the world knows today as E-TRAIN.
