Our special industry guest was MIKE GORMLEY, this industry veteran has been rubbing shoulders and making deals with huge players for over 40 years, so we figured it was about time he joined us to talk about his career and play some of his favorite songs that were with him a long the way. Mike’s playlist featured songs by RONNIE HAWKINS, THE BANGLES, NEW YORK DOLLS, CONCRETE BLONDE and MANY MORE great classic tunes.
Kicking off the live music segment of the show was LA based experimental electronic duo, SEAGOAT. This crafty duo performed a solid set of electronic pop tunes with an experimental edge. Next to hit the stage was LA based (via Boston) pop duo, WATERBED. This exciting up-and-coming electronic pop duo is on the bubble of many great things. With their new album in the works WATERBED bounced through an infectious set loaded with catchy melodies, quirky beats, and big booming choruses. Highlights included brilliant performances of their singles, “WHERE YOU ARE”, “SOMETHIN” and “SWEET N’ SOUR”. DO NOT sleep on WATERBED as they will be performing many shows around the LA area throughout 2015. Closing out the night was LA based R&B vocalist, and featured member of the Odd Future side project, The Internet, TAY WALKER. Performing with a full band, Tay tightly groovedthrough a smooth set that grabbed the attention of all in attendance. Truly one of the top male vocalists in the R&B game at the moment, we highly suggest to keep an eye on Tay Walker. Be sure to check out and support all these talented artists.

"I wanted little pieces of things in it that makes you think 'why is life full of games,'" Walker tells The Juice of the Drew Kirsch-directed video. "I know what it's like to have my heart broken and so does the world. This video is the exact feeling of that. This video shows how love can leave you alone with a lot of time on your hands to think about the games that are played between two people in love." You may recognize Tay Walker. The Inglewood, Calif. artist is the keyboardist and a vocalist in The Internet, also consisting of Odd Future's Syd the Kyd, Matt Martians, Patrick Page and Christopher A. Smith. "Karma" is a stand-out track from his upcoming project, "25 Hours a Day." The effort, slated for a Spring release, will feature Casey Veggies and Mac Miller and production by Syd, Harry Fraud and more. "25 Hours a Day" follows up Walker's self-titled EP, released in September. Tweet @taywalker
San Diego's The Young Wild have been entertaining us all year with their addictive pop tracks like Not A One. The simplistic yet captivating video is essentially a performance art piece that can't be missed.

Rogue time travelers Sunny & Gabe return from their second era-hopping expedition to link up with new-wave-soul-rap crooner D.R.A.M. (also a time traveler) for a song called "I Luv It". At one of the world's most spectacular #juug summits, we are summoned to experience the luv for ourselves. Many rumors are circulating as to why the Virginia-based duo chose the year 2015 to drop this song, but the most apparent reason would be to breathe life into the boring, redundant, political blog-hype world that is our reality. Enjoy their new video!
Shout Out to Mark Foley aka Boomshack!

It was at the Grammy Awards that Carly was singing as a back-up vocalist for Cee Lo Green, when Cee Lo shared with her some invaluable advice. Carly had been writing and recording of-the-moment electro-pop songs, heeding the mainstream pop music industry’s commercial demands of young adult female artists. These tracks, and others, have received 1.5 million YouTube views for features on over 90 television shows spanning 30+ networks, including NBC’s 30 Rock and Fashion Star, ABC’s One Life to Live, etc. Merging warm, nuanced, sensitive, powerhouse vocals, with memorable melodies, meaningful lyrics, and contemporary arrangements that integrate select elements from classic pop’s distant and recent past, the piece of work reflects a unique, sophisticated timelessness for the modern adult-contemporary market. They toil in deserts and on busy freeways, at the top of massive seaside cliffs and in the dim neighborhood dives of sunny L.A. The landscape is rife with energy and all the while they are collecting. Despite the great abundance they are not taking but merely assimilating, recording, merging and regurgitating their interpretation of the beauty and chaos all around. They are Young Creatures. Attempts to describe them often land at “psych” -- as in “psychedelic,” “psych-pop hypnotists,” or a “psych-rock band in pop clothing.” The terminology is often bogged down by notions of illicit indulgences or foolhardy voyages into the vast inner unknown. But this particular brand of rock ‘n roll is more than a simple affront to the machine-pop dominating our present-day collective consciousness. It is an alternative translation of the world around us, one that captures the essence of power and beauty and emotion that human beings are uniquely attuned to, that our machines allow us to ignore. That is the goal. For their full Bio & to check out their new album go to www.youngcreatures.com Tweet @young_creatures

“The voice box is the most amazing instrument that we take for granted. Once you harness the power that it holds, creation is endless! While I’m able to use technology to my advantage, I can capture ideas as they come out and present them in real time to the audience.”
There is nothing Jase Beatboxer can’t do; he is like a machine and when he turns on, your mind will be blown.
Skotch Davis, but was born Joshua Davis-Henry to Maria Davis and Vincent Henry a long time ago. His Dad is a musician that has worked with everybody from Maceo Parker to Nas and Mom was a very successful and pioneering club promoter for Hip-Hop R&B acts like Brandy, Goodie Mob, The Lost Boyz and Jay-Z just to name a few. The latter whom let his Mom appear on his debut LP, Reasonable Doubt (the song "22 Twos", that's my Mom in the beginning of the song!) So its safe to say Davis was born into music & bred in Hip-Hop...it runs thru his blood & it's his life.

The target of this year’s DIY Convention: Do It Yourself in Film, Music and Books is what its managing director Bruce Haring calls an underserved group of creators.
Hence the theme: “For Mature Audiences Only.”
Directed at the 30-and-over crowd, the 14th annual forum offering free panels at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday is aimed at helping seasoned musicians, authors and filmmakers get a leg up and move forward in the digital world. Panel topics include “Not Fade Away: Being Older in a Young Person’s Business” at 1 p.m., “I’ll Try to Make It: Social Media and Marketing” at 2:30 p.m. and “War Stories from the DIY Front” at 4 p.m.
“All these issues come into play for people who started out in a different generation,” Haring says. “These are tricks they have to learn on the fly, so to speak.”
Of course, the digital era has its benefits.
The Web has made it inexpensive and easy to record and distribute music digitally, but getting people to notice it — that’s another story, says Bruce Duff, a 30-year veteran of the music business who joins the “War Stories” panel discussion.
“There’s just so much clutter out there, it’s really hard to get the attention and have it mount up to something that equals actual sales,” says Duff, who handles marketing for the Knitting Factory club in Reno, Nev.
“If the band’s popular, having it available digitally is great. But there’s only a percentage anymore of certainly the younger listeners that even want to buy it and have it in their house taking up space. They’re totally happy to purchase it from iTunes or stream it from Spotify.
“But there’s so many people vying for that, it’s hard to cut through that racket,” he adds.
But not to worry — it’s bound to be a hot topic at the DIY Convention.
When: 1 p.m. Saturday.
Where: Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, 7000 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles.
Admission: Free.
Information: 323-665-8080, www.diyconvention.com.

Last year was a crazy year for Luxxury. His "Luxxury Edits" was a smash hit. Such a smash that after over 1,000,000 plays and an article in the Wall Street Journal it was deemed “too hot for the internet” and was taken down from music platforms. However, as they say in Hollywood the show must go in. Luxxury is back and ready to release “Lxxury Edits: Series Deux” a new batch of live remixes that came from his DJ set. Take a listen to his first single “Talking Heads – Once In A Lifetime (LUXXURY EDIT)”. Its Hunnypot approved and we guarantee you’re going to love it!
