Kicking off the live music segment of the show was LA based singer-songwriter and artist, CARLY ROBYN GREEN. Carly performed a beautiful set of pop songs, loaded with her powerhouse vocals and memorable melodies this is a voice that demands your attention now and in the future. Quickly becoming one of Hunnypot’s favorite artists, LA’s own, YOUNG CREATURES took to the stage for what was an all-around psych-rock, pop dominated set. Multi-talented vocal specialist and beatboxer, JASE BEATBOXER was next up and performed a gritty set showcasing his unique skills. Closing out the live performances was emerging hip hop artist, SCOTCH DAVIS. Scotch hit it right on the money with a rousing, energetic performance that featured dope rhymes, tight beats and a killer band. Connecting all the dots and keeping the party going all night was none other than LA based DJ, producer, J*LABS. Through a blended set featuring everything from West Coast Hip Hop, Ghetto Funk, Electronic, Pop, and Trap, J*Labs’ soundscapes were just what the night needed. Brandon West is an experienced music supervision professional whose background successfully melds at the juncture of the music licensing, placement, publishing, A&R and management sectors. His expertise can currently be found at ThinkFactory Media in Los Angeles and his broad range of work can be traced to networks such as AMC, MTV, VH1, TV One and the HISTORY channel. FacebookTwitter
It was at the Grammy Awards that Carly was singing as a back-up vocalist for Cee Lo Green, when Cee Lo shared with her some invaluable advice. Carly had been writing and recording of-the-moment electro-pop songs, heeding the mainstream pop music industry’s commercial demands of young adult female artists. These tracks, and others, have received 1.5 million YouTube views for features on over 90 television shows spanning 30+ networks, including NBC’s 30 Rock and Fashion Star, ABC’s One Life to Live, etc. Merging warm, nuanced, sensitive, powerhouse vocals, with memorable melodies, meaningful lyrics, and contemporary arrangements that integrate select elements from classic pop’s distant and recent past, the piece of work reflects a unique, sophisticated timelessness for the modern adult-contemporary market. They toil in deserts and on busy freeways, at the top of massive seaside cliffs and in the dim neighborhood dives of sunny L.A. The landscape is rife with energy and all the while they are collecting. Despite the great abundance they are not taking but merely assimilating, recording, merging and regurgitating their interpretation of the beauty and chaos all around. They are Young Creatures. Attempts to describe them often land at “psych” -- as in “psychedelic,” “psych-pop hypnotists,” or a “psych-rock band in pop clothing.” The terminology is often bogged down by notions of illicit indulgences or foolhardy voyages into the vast inner unknown. But this particular brand of rock ‘n roll is more than a simple affront to the machine-pop dominating our present-day collective consciousness. It is an alternative translation of the world around us, one that captures the essence of power and beauty and emotion that human beings are uniquely attuned to, that our machines allow us to ignore. That is the goal. For their full Bio & to check out their new album go to www.youngcreatures.com Tweet @young_creatures
Pushing the boundaries, multi-talented vocal specialist, Jase Beatboxer’s live performances display his talents of vocal percussion and vocal sound effects through live vocal looping. His improv and interactive performances display a unique blend of human sound effects, beatboxing, DJ-ing, voice-over and stand up comedy, all while encompassing todays technology through electronic hardware and software.
Jase Beatboxer has performed live on-stage with KRS-ONE, Aesop Rock, Black Sheep, Doug E Fresh, Rakim, Junkie XL and Tipper (to name a few), toured the world as part of the Alanis Morissette Havoc & Bright Lights Tour support act, and has appeared on the television show Hell’s Kitchen.
“The voice box is the most amazing instrument that we take for granted. Once you harness the power that it holds, creation is endless! While I’m able to use technology to my advantage, I can capture ideas as they come out and present them in real time to the audience.”
There is nothing Jase Beatboxer can’t do; he is like a machine and when he turns on, your mind will be blown.
Skotch Davis, but was born Joshua Davis-Henry to Maria Davis and Vincent Henry a long time ago. His Dad is a musician that has worked with everybody from Maceo Parker to Nas and Mom was a very successful and pioneering club promoter for Hip-Hop R&B acts like Brandy, Goodie Mob, The Lost Boyz and Jay-Z just to name a few. The latter whom let his Mom appear on his debut LP, Reasonable Doubt (the song "22 Twos", that's my Mom in the beginning of the song!) So its safe to say Davis was born into music & bred in Hip-Hop...it runs thru his blood & it's his life.
J*Labs has a voracious appetite for new and interesting experiences. As a result, she's constantly on the hunt for new sounds to incorporate into her sets. She has played a number of noteworthy festivals and venues including Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Shambhala and Lightning in a Bottle.
Last year was a crazy year for Luxxury. His "Luxxury Edits" was a smash hit. Such a smash that after over 1,000,000 plays and an article in the Wall Street Journal it was deemed “too hot for the internet” and was taken down from music platforms. However, as they say in Hollywood the show must go in. Luxxury is back and ready to release “Lxxury Edits: Series Deux” a new batch of live remixes that came from his DJ set. Take a listen to his first single “Talking Heads – Once In A Lifetime (LUXXURY EDIT)”. Its Hunnypot approved and we guarantee you’re going to love it!
British newcomer Salt Ashes is continuing to bring us her brand of dark disco pop with her new video for Let Me Go as well as her brand new single; Raid. Let Me Go flashes a ton of images of Salt Ashes rad and creepy dance moves. Europe is already spinning Salt Ashes everywhere. It won't be long before her success reaches across the pond and no one will be able to her infectious songs out of their head.
Nowadays, real Outlaw Country is rarely heard on the radio or dance halls. If you want the real stuff, you've gotta look for it. This music lives on within renegades who strive to keep the flame alive - mavericks who eat, sleep, breathe and bleed Outlaw music.
Casey Miller and Megan Wise are the Barnyard Stompers. Forget about every other two-piece band you've ever experienced. Barnyard Stompers is no novelty. It's honest and true, and doesn't very much care for anything that isn't. So if you're looking for authentic Outlaw sounds birthed in the heart of Texas, you've come to the right place.
Billy Gottlieb, Walla and a Burlesque Show!!! 2/23/2015
The mind behind Playback Music Supervision needs no introduction for many who are keen to his craft, but for those of you who don't know Billy Gottlieb, allow us to catch you up on his work: Pulp Fiction, Bring It On, The Basketball Diaries, and many others exemplify the versatility necessary to become one of the most active music supervisors in the world, which our man Billy most certainly is. Though 2015 may be very, very young, Billy G has the distinction of already having 4 television series set to air in the new year - all of which feature drastically different musical styles. We're shocked and flattered that he's taken the time out of his busy schedule to spin some of his favorite tunes with us, and you should be too.

WALLA formed out of different times, places, and hardships. By random chance, these 5 individuals found each other through digital means and a common love for inventing new wavelengths. The sound reflected confusion and hopelessness during a time of tough life decisions and rough financial circumstances. But through sheer perseverance and the culmination of different influences (everything from pop, funk, samba, rock, metal, folk, disco, and neo-psychedelia) WALLA quickly made an indestructible pact to maintain strong melodies and lyrics, putting above and beyond care and effort into each decibel of sound produced (almost to the point of neuroticism), and allowing each song to breathe its own life and soul. "We loved the idea of not knowing what type of song we would come up with next." Follow @TheWallaBand

HOT TUB JOHNNIE and the Hunnypot Radio crew delivered a big night of music. HOT TUB dropped a set of tunes that featured music by TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET, BEARHEART, 2 CHAINZ, and BELOVED BINGE.
KCRW Veteran JASON KRAMER stopped by and threw down a killer set that featured KANT, THE LAKES, and MATT WOODS.
ARIELLE DEEM kicked off the live music with a groovy performance of songs from her debut LP Now Place Like Now followed by New York transplant and electro-pop up-and-comer BECA. Once the tone was firmly established, NICKY DAVEY turned it upside down with his patented blend of r&b/rock fusion, after which MARLEE EAST took the stage to cap off a truly eclectic evening of live music.

Beca reveals a fresh, dark, fearless sound that’s all her own. Musically gifted at a young age, she graduated from the Juilliard School and traveled the world, performing with an array of artists while developing her own path and voice. Bursting onto the indie pop scene in 2012, her first two EP’s were released via UK label, This Is Music Ltd. (Charli XCX, Little Boots). The breakthrough hits earned praise from Filter Magazine who said “her talent for whimsical sounds and a breezy voice is worth listening to over and over again” and from Stereogum who described her music as “wispy, ethereal electro pop.”
Nicky Davey is a rock and soul band from Los Angeles, CA. Founded by Hollywood’s wunderkind vocalist Nicky Green and Lincoln, Nebraska’s prodigious guitarist Davey Rosser.
Seamlessly blending the sonorities of NWA era west coast G-funk with the country air-like serenity of bluegrass and southern rock, it’s clear the band breaks the mold of cookie cutter industry corporate rock that inundates the contemporary landscape.
