There is a line between insanity and genius that Mark Mallman has built a career on. His solid songwriting and wild stage persona have earned him opening spots on stages with artists as diverse from Cat Power to Green Day to Guided by Voices to name a fraction. Mallman’s expansive catalog of infinitely catchy rock songs has rocked the airwaves of MTV, VH1, NPR, and dozens of major motion picture trailers and video games.
On 2016's The End Is Not The End, Mallman exposes himself to the to rawest nerve, the likes of which haven’t been heard since Neutral Milk Hotel's In an Aeroplane Over The Sea or The Eels’ Electro-Shock Blues. It is a deliberate meditation on overcoming the roots of despair. But even so, this is a timeless, kick ass rock record. As Mallman sings it: “I didn't know where I was going / till I stopped believing and I started knowing / The story of life is what was manifested where once was a void.”
He's been written about by Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, USA Today, Wired, NME, The Toronto Star, Chicago Sun-Times, the Denver Post and so on. However, despite this substantial list of credits, he's also been characterized as a madman numerous times, by numerous sources, over the years. Possibly for his “Elton Johnny Rotten” live show.
But most likely Mallman actually is a mad genius for staging four of his “Marathon” events over the years, including a non-stop, non-sleep 78-hour song with 576-pages of lyrics, all live from his hometown’s Turf Club in an endurance exercise much more akin to John Cage than David Blaine. Did the 110 musicians and over 25,000 people who tuned into the internet broadcast during its peak think Mr. Serious (nickname) was nuts? Hopefully.
Hmm, maybe Mallman isn’t such a madman after all…

There is a line between insanity and genius that indie superhero, Mark Mallman has built a career on. There is something so engaging about his personality, solid songwriting, and wild stage persona that it's impossible not to be intrigued!
Glam-rocking Minnesotan cranks out flash-pot, binge-celebrating anthems of surprising cleverness with this hit single and video for your addictive enjoyment, "Monster Movies", which will leave you in awes with his mashed up vintage and space age techniques to achieve a unique, yet classic sound!
With 15 years of touring under his belt, his music/art experiments and retro-70s style has rocked the airwaves of countless radio and media outlets, as well as being written about by Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, USA Today, Wired, NME, The Toronto Star, Chicago Sun-Times, the Denver Post and so on. Mallman continues,
“Yeah, my records have always been retro half breeds, but as far Monster Movies goes, I wanted to take it vintage and full blast 2014 in the same song. Now all I gotta do is invent a flux capacitor time machine, and start saving for a Delorean.”
Hot Tub Johnnie and the Hunnypot team did it again.
Hot Tub started the evening and kept it going long and hard with super party music. Bobby Green was the first to pop into the Hot Tub for a perfect get to know Bobby interview that teased his crushing DJ set later in the show. Bobby's original single "Lights" is a Hunnypot favorite. Chris Jackson let us know about his deep music business history and love for the songs with his custom playlist that featured Prince "Superfunkycalifragisexy" just hours before he passed. The Proof. lived up to their name and provided evidence of super soul talent. Nova Rockafeller got down with her problems onstage, Blimes rapped mellow and strong with bay area beats, Buckwheat Groats pushed the limits of respectable entertainment just how we like it. L-Boogie made a birthday splash in the tub with his streetwise rhymes, Bobby Green closed out the night. Listen now, tell a friend! 4-18-16

Even further back, Chris co-founded Rightspring, Inc. a pioneering marketplace for searching, licensing and digital delivery of creative assets to professional users. Chris has nearly 20 years’ experience in all facets of the music business including major and independent labels, event production and digital media.
In his spare time, Chris is working on challenging AlphaGo to the ultimate DJ battle.
Texas native, Bobby Green has topped the Hype Machine charts with three consecutive releases…and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. His current single "Lights" features infectious vocals and an upbeat/tropical chorus, "Lights" is a worthy candidate for your ‘Favorites’ playlist. Bobby explains how the track originated:
“The first words that came out of my mouth when I started writing this song were “putting all your lights on.” And I could never get those words out of my head. What Whitney and I eventually realized was that this was a song about the walls that we put up around ourselves, and the way that we often fear a world that fears us back. “Lights” is about the disconnection we all feel, and about the great things that can happen when we open up and show the world who we are.”
Bobby will be spinning his favorites in-between the artists sets and rockin' the Dance Party!

An unconventional take on groove, with funk influences, a brush of the blues, and soulful vocals. The Proof. formed in the summer of 2015. Drew Dolan (Vocals/Keys) and fellow band mate Geramie Laufersky (Guitar/Vocals), broke away from a previous project to collaborate on a new sound. After crossing paths with Ian Murray (Bass) and Lucas Crouch (Drums), the band progressed rapidly and found themselves in the studio within a month’s time, recording their first EP.

Born in Canada, raised in Negril, Jamaica, and having bounced around America, including stops in New York and LA, Nova Rockafeller, who is of Ukrainian, English and French descent, realizes she'll initially be lumped in the "white girl rapper" category, but according to her that's OK, "as long as they say ‘rapper.'"
Nova Rockafeller, first and foremost, is about her skills, which is something some may not initially realize when they take a look at her unique fashion sense that includes custom made jewelry from her Toys On Chains line, and duct tape modified thrift store t-shirts that she plans to market as a modified street wear line "so girls of all body types can modify them." She is imaginative, she is colorful, and she wants to rap circles around her competition. Hunnypot Approved!

From the heart of San Francisco, transplanted in Los Angeles, Blimes is a lyriscist, singer and songwriter armed with an unmatched passion for artistry. Her musical background extends two generations to a blues musician father and jazz musician grandfather, which explains her deep adoration of melody and musicality. Under her former moniker “Oh Blimey” the lyricist donned collaborations from the likes of Too Short, Gavlyn, and Scratch Bandits Crew. But with the ne name, Blimes embarks on a fresh journey to expand her sound and reach. Blimes tore into 2015 at full force co-headlining a 25 city European tour with fellow heavy-hitter Gavlyn and the two have since established their own imprint record label: Peach House Records on which Blimes will release a full length album titled “Castles” the first quarter 2016.

Ancient Sumerian texts tell of a man with boogie so pimpaliciously slick, that the world could not withstand the weight of his almighty funkification. He was born in a maelstrom of smoke and fire, schooled by the legends of Shaolin, and set upon this world to seek that mighty groove, tweak it till it’s smooth, straight up freak and bust a move.
This legend of boogie was deemed too powerful by the elder gods of groove, and so it was decided to seal his spirit away. For thousands of years the spirit of this titan of twerk lay dormant only to be awoken for a single night each year, for if his boogie lasted any longer the cosmos could be torn apart by his vociferous vibrations.
Lo and behold: the great L-Boogie hath arisen from his slumber! Payeth him tribute with dope-ass dance moves & belligerent bong rips, lest ye soul be cast into darkness until he riseth once more.
Hot Tub Johnnie warmed the water with bubbling music to get the party started and kept it going in between live acts and interviews. Anny Colvin let us know what inspired her to get into music supervision, songs she loves and blessed us with her karaoke prowess. Her mother was in attendance along with, 200+ others, and stated that she did a very good job. Streetlight Cadence serenaded the crowd with 4 part harmonies of super rich and catchy melodies. Kendall Morgan brought an eclectic mix of rhythms and hues to the audience. Bonnie Bishop was our secret surprise guest & she provided song after song of rich songwriting and killer vocals. Ramsey enslaved the audience with beats and breaths and TESHA closed the live performances with her soundscapes and record scrapes before Hot Tub closed the night with the world famous dance party. 4/4/2016

Kendall Morgan is a singer/songwriter hailing from the indie rock hub of Nashville. With her haunting vocals and infectious hooks, she has steadily evolved from a softer, soulful sound to a more rhythmic, urban vibrato.
Channeling Morgan's flair for urban grit meets catchy pop writing style, she is a unique lyrical presence that defies genres. Whether it is a hook for a hip hop song or an acoustic driven melody, Morgan seamlessly glides between the contrasting styles. This versatility, combined with her chilling vocals, have led to her recent collaborations.
Morgan appears on Tech N9ne's album Something Else on the track "Fragile", also featuring Kendrick Lamar, and on Yo Gotti's album I Am on the track "Don't Come Around" as an artist and co-writer. She is currently working on her solo project to be released soon.

Bonnie Bishop's songwriting dream came true in early 2012 when her hero blues legend Bonnie Raitt recorded her song "Not Cause I Wanted To" (co-written with former NRBQ guitarist Big Al Anderson), earning Bishop her first Grammy and putting the Austin, Texas native on the map. Voted Song Of The Year by The New York Times, the song went on to gain national attention for the young artist when Raitt had this to say about her: "Bonnie Bishop is very special - I think she is going to be a big star."
In 2013, another of Bishop's songs made its TV debut when the hit show Nashville used "The Best Songs Come From Broken Hearts" for its star character Rayna's comeback performance at the Opry. A self-proclaimed road dog with a signature rasp, Bishop first became well-known for her dynamic live performances, making her living as a full-time touring act for well over a decade in clubs, theaters and festivals across the US and Europe and building a loyal fan base beside Americana greats such as Robert Earl Keen, Paul Thorn, Lee Roy Parnell, and Radney Foster.
In 2015, Bonnie proved that she was unafraid to reinvent herself with the launch of her brand new original series “Story & Song,” a unique storytelling experience that marries Bishop’s writing voice with her heartfelt songs of redemption and healing. This earned her an invitation to the prestigious MFA Creative Writing program at Sewanee University of the South this past summer, where she is now working towards her Master’s degree in Non-Fiction writing and developing a screenplay. Her Story&Song series is available exclusively on bonniebishop.com.
As of most recently, Bishop returned to the studio with Grammy Award winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson) to record her sixth album, a soul project. “Ain’t Who I Was” releases May 27, 2016 on Thirty Tigers (RED).

In an Internet world where anyone can create a Soundcloud account and upload music, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to break through the noise. In order to rise to the top, an artist either needs to be really good, really original, or really lucky – usually some combination of the three. LA-based experimental pop musician Ramsey fulfills the two former requirements. Over the past few months, hundreds of thousands of people have flocked to her Soundcloud to indulge in the enigmatic songstress’ music.
“2am” is Ramsey’s latest single, following “Slave” and “See You Bleed”—both of which were premiered in the past two months. Seductive and ghostly, "2am" draws life from the singer’s indelible voice. Somehow, she has both a smoker’s husk and the lithe command of an opera singer. The strange combination leads to an unsteadying listening experience that mirrors the woozy, Portishead-like trip-hop in the fore. There’s never any question of control, though. In slithering glissandos, Ramsey oscillates between vaporous and mighty, conjuring the beguiling effect of the siren.
“It’s 2am now, run the red light,” she urges, beckoning to us, asking us to break the rules. It’s easy to imagine her doing so in the corner of a darklit jazz club in the crevices of Los Angeles. She’s seated atop a stool in a crimson red dress, black hair and long eyelashes falling toward the floor. A trail of chains and roses recede away from her into the darkness; do you run the light? The fact that she even makes you think about it is testament enough to her skill. -MacEagon Voyce

Tesha is highly involved in every aspect of the creative process, from producing her own tracks and live shows to cultivating her own image. Tesha found fame early in her musical career with her former band Thin Drapes. The duo took over the Berlin music scene, getting nominated for their single "Tonight" as the best track at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2013.
Tesha participated in this years’ CMJ Festival in New York City and gained a warm reception from outlets such as The Deli Magazine and QRO Magazine. Tesha was also nominated as The Deli’s Artist of The Month for November 2015.

DRÆMINGS spent her early years reading dark fairy tales while listening to a warped cassette tape of Ace of Base's The Sign on repeat.
At 17, she ran away to San Francisco, where she was adopted by a gang of drag queens and street urchins. She embarked on a strange, magical adventure which included a short stint as a gangster rapper, a incubation period in India, and a heart-break fueled weekend that resulted in her writing 5 songs that would comprise her demo, and the birth of DRÆMINGS.
Her dark, powerful melodies, colorful lyrics and intense live show have drawn comparisons to the likes of Siouxsie , Bowie, Florence, and Chrissie.
Her eclectic full-length, The Eternal Lonesome, produced by Eric Palmquist (The Bad Suns, Trash Talk, Night Riots) will be released in Spring of 2016.

Spending his youth immersed in musical greats – particularly The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell and Bon Iver– the calibre of such influences has notably reflected throughout Gonzalla songwriting; elegant, beautiful and haunting. The new tracks are a taster of what to come for this great talent.
Cody grew up in Southern California where since his earliest memories his life revolved around the ocean. Surfnig was his first love and then came music not long after, for him the two have a strong and inevitable connection. Cody; ‘‘I think it shows in the songwriting whether it be the tone or esthetic my music has. I lived in a town called Huntington Beach near LA which is a wonderful place, I would surf in the morning and than later that evening go see groups perform in Hollywood, I had the best of both worlds.”
Having previously landed support slots for the likes of Dan Croll, Frances, and Stealing Sheep in the UK while honing his songwriting craft. Gonzalla has returned to US to tour throughout the year. Lead single, Come on Hun is available now.
Hunnypot Live! once again helped to seed the clouds of entertainment till they burst all over everyone in attendance.

North Hollywood-based DERONDA began as a challenge lead singer/rhythm guitarist Gabe Hernandez assigned himself: write a new song every week. the native Angeleño, fed up with years of writer’s block, decided to isolate himself in his bedroom and force himself to be productive, regardless of the quality of the final songs. After several months work, Gabe started passing his demos among his friends, and the positive response he received encouraged him to turn his solo effort into a live project. With longtime friend, James Gordon Miller, joining him on drums, and Steven Petersen contributing on bass, the core of DERONDA took shape.
The sound of DERONDA aims to balance influences from synth-pop, art-rock, indie-pop, and psych, while building from a base of classic songwriting structure.
DERONDA, currently unsigned, are working on their first EP, scheduled to be released later this year.
Born in 70’s-era Detroit, singer-guitarist Andre Comeau grew up in a family of professional musicians. A childhood steeped in all genres of music fostered an instinctual understanding of melody and song. Andre has music in his blood.
In the early nineties, Andre’s band Reigndance (which also featured Dean Fertita, Queens of the Stoneage, The Dead Weather) ignited but quickly outgrew the burgeoning Detroit music scene. They relocated to New York, and shortly afterward Andre was chosen to be a cast member of MTV’s seminal reality show, The Real World. The show was an instant success; Andre and his band were afforded massive exposure. But after three records and extensive touring, Reigndance found themselves at a creative crossroads. They disbanded in 1997. Seeking new stimuli and fresh musical landscapes, Andre relocated to Los Angeles in the fall of 1997.
Andre turned to the folk music he grew up on and started releasing indie folk music under the band name, River Rouge (a reference to his father’s former employer, the Ford Motor Company, and the plant where they operated). River Rouge has released a handful of well received albums: their most recent EP, 2015’s “Building A Better Bomb”, garnered critical acclaim and positive reviews.
Andre Comeau returns to his musical roots in 2016 with UNAVAILS, a heavy rock band that features Darren Elpant on drums (10 Speed) and Matt Beal on bass. With a sound that toes the line between classic and cutting edge, UNAVAILS proves that guitar-rock can still be vital, original, and relevant in 2016. UNAVAILS are purveyors of passionate music that’s capable of seizing a listener both above and below the belt.
The lights are low and the music is loud; “it’s showtime!”. Hunnypot Live! #336 Kicked off and kicked out with jams right from the start. Flora Cash finished the live music portion with a beautiful acoustic set that mesmerized the party. The famous HP Dance Party finished the night with guest DJ Dew-Lord (Spencer Brown) and everyone had a really, really, really good time. 2/22/2016

Rock and roll isn't a sound. It's not an attitude. It's a need, it's a fight, it's the saving grace in the wake of a broken heart or something lost.
Down and Outlaws are a rock and roll band, pure and simple. Influenced by bands like The Stooges and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, you can call these San Franciscans dirty, bluesy, rootsy; it doesn't really matter, because all four members – Peter Danzig, Kyle Luck, Chris Danzig, and Jon Carr – are determined to put their stamp of rock and roll back on the map, literally and figuratively.
The band balances packed local performances with tour dates across the country. Over the past year, they've performed with Reignwolf, Cancer Bats, The Silent Comedy and Black Pistol Fire, picking up die-hard fans and media attention from Austin and Portland to Tucson and Los Angeles and beyond.
Their recent single, “Lay Me Down," convinced Carson Daly to book them on NBC's Last Call in May. With a new video for their second single, “I Don’t Care (I Don't Care),” and their upcoming debut album, Above Snakes, all signs point toward a breakout year in 2016.
These days, when rock and roll often survives in the shadows, the quartet's energy, authenticity, and blistering live performances are impossible to ignore or forget.
Down and Outlaws play because they’ve got no choice. Music has saved the D&O, and they hope to return the favor.

Purple Mountains Majesties is comprised of a bassist, a drummer, and four front men who switch off on every instrument they can afford to buy - all types of guitar, ukulele, keys, glockenspiel, flute, trumpet, melodica, recorder, and assorted percussion. Their heavenly three and four part harmonies and melodies bring to mind the sound of early Beach Boys and Beatles, but their inventive instrumentation and arrangements put them firmly at the forefront of the modern alternative scene populated by bands like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
Hailing from the depths of Orange County, they were performing in a local raw food restaurant run by the renowned silent chef Ito (yes you read that right) where they were 'discovered' by former Oingo Boingo keyboardist, film composer, and record producer Richard Gibbs. Gibbs immediately brought them on board and began producing their debut album for his new recording venture, Invisible Arts.

Magic Wands are back with their highly anticipated sophomore album Jupiter.
Former Nashville electronic duo Chris and Dexy Valentine are currently residing in Los Angeles and have expanded their group, adding bassist Tommy Alexander and drummer Keith Crutchfield.
Chris and Dexy are following a different path for 2016 by foregoing their trademark electro-pop sound established with their Magic Love and Dreams EP and debut album Aloha Moon. According to the Valentines this was inspired by their desire to capture the feeling of early days of falling in love with playing instruments. Jupiter is Magic Wands sonic revolt against the cut and paste electronic age we reside in today—recorded live in the studio with minimum overdubs in only three days.
Since their debut record the Valentines have been studying the ancient art of “sound healing” and have applied this to their self-produced album Jupiter and live shows, tuning their instruments to 528 Hz—which is known in sound healing circles as the ”love" frequency. Magic Wands adhere to the mystic belief that the way of the future is using sound for healing.
The band first jumped into the spotlight with their dreamy pop songs and were one of the first to bring back a shoegaze sound with their Magic Love & Dreams EP recorded in New York City with producer John Hill (Santigold/Lykke Li) back in 2009.
The Valentines waved their magic wands and vanished until they appeared again in 2012 with their stunning Debut LP Aloha Moon which quickly garnished plenty of attention. Magic Wands jumped on everyones radar with their infectious singles “Space” and “Black Magic” which were both played on a wide array of national TV shows, commercials, movies, video games, and a run of dates opening for The Jesus and Mary Chain.
If you go see Magic Wands live and you will understand why they aren’t spreading themselves too thin. Their shows are drenched in haze and laser lights, with an hour of epic and dreamy sounds that will elevate you to the stars and make you dance.
Chris and Dexy Valentine look like they could have co/starred in a John Hughes film with their oversized Ray-bans that they haven't taken off since the beginning, and their music is best described as dark 80's dream pop mixed with shoegaze and the brighter side of falling in love.
Jupiter is a dance through the stars with beautiful lush and out-of-this-world sounds that the band dubs as “lovewave.”
Magic Wands will be performing at SXSW this year with a full US tour to follow.

We met on SoundCloud in early 2012 (where each of us had been posting music for some time). Our (for lack of a better term) “musical attraction” to one another quickly turned into something more and it wasn’t long before we began a “Skype relationship,” which lasted roughly five months. And by relationship, we really mean “relationship” in the fullest sense of the word… We were on Skype together as often as we possibly could be; morning ’til night and even that… never seemed enough. In June, 2012, Shpresa flew to Cole in Minneapolis, from Stockholm, and stayed until we returned to Sweden in August of the same year. It was in Sweden that Flora Cash; our ‘musical offspring,’ was truly born.
By the end of 2012, we had begun to collaborate with Swedish singer/songwriter and producer Daniel Westerlund/E GONE (formerly of The Goner) and had, with Daniel as our producer- released our “Mighty Fine EP,” which contained, among other tracks: “Mighty Fine” and “Summerset,” and at the same time (to our delight and amazement): had quickly begun to assemble a loyal bunch of listeners in and around Stockholm (and on YouTube where we currently have over 19,000 subscribers.)
While 2012 marked the crucial first steps of our musical journey- 2013 was a particularly big year for us. From several sold out shows in Stockholm to a three-month ‘mini-tour’ of London- (where we lived in a small room just under 2 miles south of Parliament)- 2013 saw us moving around constantly and playing any tavern, pub or venue we could find time for. 2013 also saw the release of an EP, “Made It For You.” The EP features, among others: “Freakin’ Love” and “When You Came (Oh Oh Oh).”
In July of 2013 we moved to Minneapolis where we lived for approximately a year. It was during that year together in the states that we decided to get married, take a road-trip-honeymoon to LA and begin work on the next chapter of Flora Cash. Since moving back to Stockholm in June of 2014, we have released the ‘I Will Be There’ EP, four singles (Snow, Lights, Save Me, This Breeze and Shout It Out Loud) and early in 2015 we signed to Stockholm based boutique label: Icons Creating Evil Art.
We are currently wrapping up a new Mini-LP, to be released in early 2016.
